It's one of many 'localized' romantic comedy movies that follow in the footsteps of American rom-coms. // Its connection to life in Turkey in 2024 is close to zero. It advises women not to waste their lives on men. It says to go for the guys your heart desires, but who also value you as much as you value them. It's quite outdated advice. // It has a weak, cliché-ridden screenplay where two-dimensional characters interact with each other. We understand what everyone is going to do within the first 15 minutes of the movie, with very little room for error. The events lead to sweet endings that leave no room for surprises. We get it, it's a 'feel-good' movie, and we shouldn't expect too much depth, agreed. But isn't it enough already? How many times can a person watch the same subject throughout their life? // 23/100.
This film gives much to ponder. With rich emotion, sublime music, clever script, it evokes deep reflexion. Every scene builds momentum, every shot is pure bliss. It holds you tight, never letting go. Performers shine bright, lines deliver true essence. Beyond mere fiction, it feels genuine, sincere, moving. Color, tone, rhythm - everything blends in perfect sync. Deep emotion, truth, spirit, told in pure style. It lifts the mind, stirs the soul, grips the eye. Beyond good - it's pure bliss, told with honest depth, subtle touch. Sublime moments emerge, truth flows, deep links bloom, time bends.
Doga Can Anafarta is a good filmmaker with a sweet mind. But Gelin Takimi is a bad movie that is one step away from being a bad hotel advertisement.
It is not funny, it is not a movie either. Nothing happened in the movie, I laughed for about 8 seconds in total, there is not a single interesting character. Seda Bakan is one of the worst actresses I ever known. She always plays the same.
After the first movie he shot 7 years ago and signaled a sequel, it was very unpleasant for him to wait this long, disband the cast and return with the movie 'a group of very boring people are looking for the love of their lives in a hotel'. It became a no-budget romantic comedy 2.

Since I enjoyed watching the director's other film, the Groom's Team, I wanted to watch the movie with the assumption that I would enjoy it even more, considering that the Bride's Team consists of women. I also thought it would be a fun girl-to-girl activity.
Actually, we had partly fun, but it was funnier to make fun of the scenes among ourselves than with the scenes in the movie.
Ecem Erkek's talent and Aysenil Samlioglu's role in the movie were the places we really enjoyed watching and enjoying. But everything left in the script was really so clichéd and badly processed that after a while we had a hard time enduring it. Although Seda Bakan is clearly a very beautiful woman and a good person, she really hasn't been able to add anything to her acting over the years, and she can't go beyond being an actress I've never enjoyed watching. Nilperi is really funny and talented, but I wish she played something other than horny girl roles. It is now necessary to accept that Mehmet is also getting older and that he is far from being the favorite of all girls.
In general, this was the best thing about the movie that we were satisfied with female aesthetics, it was partly a disappointing movie for us that we had a good time but did not give what was expected. I think it could be much better when you have this staff.

Mostly raunchy, but like the saying goes, every dark cloud has a silver lining.
I didn't appreciate the over-the-top sexualized, drunken party girls' romp. It's just not my thing. I felt it was shallow and tacky.
But what I DID like were the actors and parts of the overall message. It had me thinking whether or not I agree with the ladies' choices they ultimately made.
Ecem Erkek, Seda Bakan, Nilperi Sahinkaya and Mehmet Gunsur were my favorites. They were funny yet sincere. I enjoyed the friendships between each character and although most of the movie contained drunken stupidness, there was time at the end for authentic and ingenuous messaging: it's better to have lived a life alone than to spend a lifetime with someone you don't love. Now, I don't wish "alone" on anyone, but I suppose that idea may be true. In order to have a fulfilling life, it seems that a genuine and loving relationship is needed. That being said, it seems to open the door to a selfish worldview, where one's "happiness" is most important- which I have trouble with. I think there is room for selflessness...but maybe the key is to love who you are with while realizing the world does not revolve around your happiness. So, this movie- with all it's flaws- still gave me something to think about.
