A very well made, sleek, compact and interesting action-packed thriller. The plot is based mostly a thriller drama. This kind of thriller movie has not been seen in Bengali cinema before. It is not over the top movie like many of the South Indian thrillers Gang star movies and even outdoes them in many ways in finesse. The acting is top notch by the entire cast. Especially Ritwick Chakraborty is awesome and surely will get a nomination for a award. The making of the movie can be considered to be at the level of "The Godfather" at a smaller scale. Also the ending is very unexpected and spectacular. Definitely needs to be watch on the big screen.

Not only is he looking dapper in the film, he is every bit the investigating officer. His heart and mind in place. It felt as if this is his workplace, this is his home, this is what he yearns for. I want to see more and more of him in the coming days, films etc etc.

I don't think Bengal has ever produced content like this --- so real, so hard-hitting yet so entertaining and without one single dull moment. Finally, we are maturing as a film industry and delivering contents that are on a par with any national OTT. Will want to see more of this franchise should be built around it.

How intelligently the makers have woven this word into the script and I am amazed by how many times and how differently each time this word has been used in the film, without offending anyone. From sweet to bitter, angry to loving, this word has had different connotations everywhere it has been used.

It's a completely new story in the backdrop of Bengal. I have never heard of such a story, never saw it on the screens here. It has the promise of the best on OTT and that of an entertainer in theatres. I was transported to a different world while watching Porichoy gupta.

Well made and this universe which he had architected gradually has seated itself into the hearts of nearly all bengali. Porichoy gupta marked it's inception, and the universe is presently rocking. Far better than all those fady hindi movies which are rather disgrace in the name of thriller. Anyways the movie provides and excellent visual experience. Most recommended to all Bengalis. One standout element is the subtle yet significant presence of the character contribution adds layers to the storyline and complements the performances of the lead actors. My Review - Without spilling anything, though there is not much to spill that's why it is more important not to spill anything, this was an interesting watch. It had it's dynamics and moments. Performances accross the board was great, specially Ritwick Chakraborty, Indraneil Sengupta, The movie does loose itself as it progresses and some very convenient screenplay liberties were taken at key points. You know what is going to happen, but I guess that is deliberately done because everyone in the movie knows everything and from a directing stand point, there was no reason for the director to think that it is any big reveal. It is not really the kind of thriller that is like, It is more in tune with the derangement a family can have because of ideological differences and lust. And this is where the movie shines. I guess the expectations need to be set straight.

It was a good watch, worth the time and well made family drama.

Porichoy gupta is an experience, where cinema meets reality. And this merging is seamless! It was really amazing if the director have blended the flavours of Durga Puja with that of suspense. The details of puja days, the rituals, the rural flavour s and flamboyance on one side and ruthless remains of a blast, the trauma, the loss on the other side. But It is indeed a surprise package from Directors Ron raj, The director who have always made films based on emotions and family ties, have come up with a film that blends the genres of thriller and emotions so effortlessly! Kudos to the directors.

Brilliant direction, delightful performances by each and everyone..🙌 Perfect casting in each and every role.. Could not take eyes off Joy Sengupta even for a single second.. literally got me planning on my next visit to watch Darshana Banik in action, expression, and body language..💖💖💖 Indraneil Sengupta, Ritwick Chakraborty is a class apart!
