This show hooked me from the beginning. The actors were amazing. I see some gave it a bad rating for the ending but the show as a whole was well done. The ending was rushed but still a great watch. It was a romantic thriller which is exactly what is was supposed to be. Loved the music and the escape. It's not a serious drama but a fun one. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a romance like a romance novel. The characters are beautiful and sexy. The plot is creative and not your typical kdrama which I like. It's not my favorite kdrama but certainly a very entertaining one. It's worth the watch if you are into that genre.
I completely agree with cherlockhome's review below.
The drama isn't finished yet, but I'm not willing to watch the last few episodes.
Apart from the idiotic way the female lead was written and the constant loop holes, the drama is 90% cringe fest. It might had been better if the lead actress matched the professional level of the lead actor, but it's still unbearable at times.
All these "passionate" or "sensual" moments they want to pass to the audience are an absolute disaster, as the script is childish and the chemistry between the leads is super forced.
Unfortunately, it's a common theme in KDramas lately, which is an indication they've either lost their sparkle or I've just become too old to relate to the content.
It would help if they stopped making these dramas to showcase the actors' beauty and endorsements and started paying attention to what really matters. The script and acting.

At first, When the Phone Rings grabs your attention. The premise is intriguing, and the way the story unfolds in the beginning makes it hard to look away. The characters have great chemistry, and their interactions feel natural, which adds to the enjoyment. As the plot progresses, it builds up some good expectations, making you curious about how things will turn out.
But that's where the good things end.
The ending of this series is absolutely awful. It's not just bad-it's stupid and completely ridiculous! The way the story wraps up makes no sense, and it feels like the writers didn't even try to give us a satisfying conclusion. It's frustrating because the potential was there, but it's all wasted.
If you're thinking about watching this series, don't bother. Sure, the beginning is interesting, but the ending will leave you angry that you spent your time on it. Trust me, this is one of those shows you'll wish you skipped.
In short: Interesting start, good chemistry, terrible ending. Don't waste your time!

I did not expect much in a Kdrama like this when first reading the plot. The content is normally well but the chemistry and acting is too catchy and on the next level
! They potrayed the feelings, all doubts and hidden affection unbelievably soulful, especially the male. The intense in love charms the audience, a well-developed love story with Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin's perfect chemistry. I must say there are a few couples who fit their roles and their partners in such a passionate way from outward appearances to every gesture when they are together and these two are one of them. Worth the hype.
This drama has absolutely no logic or reason. It's as if someone very untalented hastily made up some text out of boredom and someone later took and paid famous actors to perform a show that I would describe as a combination of fifteen of the stupidest kdramas in one. All the worst clichés and scenes that you were embarrassed to watch before in these other bad kdramas are now lined up one after the other without a break in this drama. I am extremely uncomfortable watching how, along with a very bad story and a script without absolutely any sense (not to mention how my brain is leaking because this is literally brain rape of people who use it for thinking), they force some romance between a control freak who enjoys abusing and humiliating his fake wife and that poor thing who 99.9% of the time in this series has such a pathetic expression that screams misery and unhappiness. So what kind of people enjoy their "love" scenes? Are you turned on by a bully and his victim who kisses him with that face that constantly has fear and misery written all over it?? Really? And then they dare to throw in that he loved her all along while abusing her and making her feel pathetic little worthless thing. Hahahah omg. And this part where she talks and then she's mute again for a bit and then she talks again in front of random people and then she's mute again in front of some people.. I'd better not comment.. It's just to emarassing. What a nonsense series. Kdramas really are flying towards the bottom at the speed of light.
