While in the original French film Ooh la la! (2024) the nobleman's wife learns that she is partly of Portuguese origin, in this Czech remake she is partly of Romani origin. The rest remains the same as in the original, as the ambivalent attitudes and prejudices towards Germans, Brits and Americans the story makes fun of are pretty much the same in Czechia as they are in France.

When they listen to a Czech cover version of "Rivers of Babylon" by Karel Gott in the car, the son informs his father that the song was originally sung by the German group Boney M. The son is wrong. The Boney M rendition was already a cover version of the song, originally recorded in 1970 by the Jamaican band The Melodians.
