Carrie Underwood: Reflection

What was this? I wasn't sure what to expect. She does have talent and she is a great performer but Reflection doesn't reflect much beyond her ability to belt out the same song in different settings. This does not show her life. It's all polished for the camera. Much feels scripted she is a good performer but there is nothing that I would want to see again. I'm also not sure where she wanted to go with this and what she tried to show the audience. It's not something that I would watch again and I'm upset that I even took time out of my day to watch this. I would weather watch pain dry than to see this again.

It really is a low energy disappointing performance with the exception of the finale. As I sit and reflect on this performance I can't help but feel sad and let down from Carrie. The earlier years and performances were amazing so in comparison this was a full let down. The people in the crowd even looked bored and forced to be there. I have bought the boxes with shirts, cd and autographed photo but have since moved them into garage. Can't seem to throw them away due to how costly they were but the admiration is gone. Some people should really leave when they still go the talent and their reputation.

From a technical point of view, the music film is quite good. The cinematography, although mostly focused on the performer, cuts also to the audience and sometimes backstage, which I think was crucial in every music documentary of musical film released. Not only was this a grand showcase of Underwood's immense talent and undeniable stage command, it was also a testament to her numerous hits being a part of lives of fans over the years. The editing was also quite good, with no unnecessary scenes being added that maximizes the film runtime. Anyone who is a fan of hers or country music will surely be fascinated.

I was expecting some behind the scenes footage of the Reflections show, but even without them, Carrie Underwood is a superstar, and unashamedly who she is. I have seen her twice in concert and this is a true representation of what you'll see at one of her shows. I thoroughly enjoyed this, even if I was hoping for a little more.

The reviews here are harsh to say the least, and, I for one don't know why. As a fan of Carrie Underwood I have a couple of thoughts as to why this might be the case, but that is a topic for a different forum.

If you are a fan, you will enjoy this a lot. If you have reasons you don't like Carrie, this show isn't for you... obviously. Regardless of expecting a little more, I could listen to her sing all day and am very happy I watched it.

It was so horrible that I don't think she knows how to sing. She was lip-synching the whole time. She needs to take some vocal lessons. Hopefully Hulu never works with her again. I don't think I can handle ever hearing her in concert. Her stage present was OK not the best. I think she needs more experience with containing an audience. Probably one of the most boring concert movie. I wish I can take back the time I wasted watching this. Hopefully Hulu does one with Beyoncé. Her country music is more better than Mrs. Underwoods and that's saying a lot. Also, the songs that she sang were not that good either.
