Can Borcu

I think Can Borcu is a great series!

I love all the actors and actresses!

I love the story! It's something that can happen to anyone!

It is one of the series I would recommend!

Never a dull moment!

The actors do a great job with their roles in this series! Amazing acting!

There are two story lines going as usual and they are both great!

It's about family's that you can relate too.

The relationships are interesting and the mind set some people have. It's about the lives of many different people. I can't say enough good things about this series. It's just a series that I rate higher than some of the others.

I was deeply moved by the quality of writing, reminiscent of an exquisite multi-layer baklava crafted by the best masters, at times bitter, at times sweet like sugar syrup. Moments of joy are never shallow, as they can be quickly taken away with the skill of an Istanbul ice-cream vendor, and moments of sadness never linger, as the satisfying ice-cream is always there, waiting for you in the end. I especially enjoyed Episode 1.3 where Emel, reliant on a cane due to her injuries, seeks revenge on Handan to destroy her life and her relationships with her children. I could go on. Episode #1.4 where Handan tells her sister about Celal and Emel's seven-year affair. When Sükran confronts Emel, she learns that her husband blackmailed Celal. Meanwhile, Rüzgar tries to raise money to buy a video related to his father's road accident. Mashallah. 10/10.

.... watch Can Borcu, only if, there's no other more sensible turkish tv series available or you have plenty of time, otherwise, don't waste your precious time.

It's one of those series that is aimed for watching by bored grandmas and housewives. The story is like written by a bunch of high school kids for their literature or theater class about the obsession of a mistress in ruining the lives of her lover's wife, family and all the people around including her own son. There's too much ridiculous scenes.

Like most turkish tv series, there's an annoying central figure in this one though many of them, in fact. The grandmother who still lives with the family of her deceased son who cheated his wife. The kids whose role in this series is to prevent their widowed parents from having a relationship or getting married, all of them are annoying.

Acting is terrible from most, except perhaps from that actor playing the crazy guy Ferit, . Cinar and Yasemin- zero chemistry, that actor doesn't know how to act.

Main plot is not solid, nothing to arouse interest from viewers aside from few sublots per episode.

SHould've been 1 star but I gave it 2 stars just because I'm watching it and I have all the time in the world at the moment, and there's few good turkish TV this year.

What I don't understand is why Handan is trying hard to persuade the old lady mother-in-law whose son cheated on Handan for 7 years who by the way is no longer alive - to not leave them? In real life, such a villain in-law who influences the kids to go against their mother who by her own decision wants to distance herself would be a respite. The old woman doesn't want Handan to marry after the death of the cheating husband, she doesn't want her to live with someone else and just live a sedentary life. She's that annoying old woman character that writers would put on every other Turkish TV series (i.e. Feride Ipekoglu In Camdaki Kiz, Sadakat Albora in Uzak Sehir, etc)

The young characters also are likewise annoying trying to prevent in the couple's (Handan and Mehmet), these kids do not want them to be together also, in fact, almost all the characters in this series are villains to the happiness of the main characters, and I thought in the beginning, it was only Emel.

This series is intended for kids and bored people who like household dramas with terrible acting, senseless script, and ridiculous story.
