The premiere episode of Dexter: Resurrection delivers a convincing explanation for Dexter's survival, grounding the story in a plausible medical scenario. The emotional core, focusing on Dexter's concern for his son Harrison, is compelling, though Harrison's psychological depth remains underexplored.
The pacing suffers slightly from Dexter's rapid recovery, which feels rushed. The New York setting and the police investigation add fresh tension and complexity, while the return of familiar characters enriches the narrative.
Visually, the episode maintains a dark, stylish tone consistent with the original series. Overall, it's a promising start that sets up intriguing conflicts, though further character development-especially of Harrison-is needed to fully engage the audience.

While I cannot assert that I possess an exhaustive and all-encompassing array of thoughts or reflections to convey, I feel a compelling need to share my genuine gratitude for the outstanding acting performances that were prominently featured in this specific episode. The entire episode unfolded in an inviting and cozy atmosphere that resonated deeply within me, effectively transporting me back to a nostalgic realm and evoking memories of the overall vibe and tone that are characteristic of the beloved show Dexter, which has undoubtedly held a cherished position in the hearts of countless viewers over the years. Moreover, I am absolutely ecstatic to announce the exhilarating news that the character Dexter, in all his prime and unmistakable glory, has made a truly spectacular and triumphant return to our screens! This revival of the series not only notably succeeds in encapsulating the very essence of what initially made the original show so compelling and engaging, but it also introduces an extra layer of excitement and anticipation that captivates audiences far and wide. This revival resonates deeply with those long-time fans who have been loyally following the series since its inception, eagerly looking forward to each and every development, while simultaneously extending a warm and welcoming invitation to new viewers who are just beginning their thrilling journey of delving into its captivating and intricate storyline!
Waited so long to be back. The ending to new blood was peak and the first two episodes were really really good and im excited for the next two episodes however this episode was really good and i enjoyed every single second of it the flashbacks the returns of villians everything was perfect i really liked the episode and it was peak cinema. I hope to see a 10.0 episode out of dexter ressurection some day. And im am so excited about whats gonna come after the second episode and how is the series gonna end which i would like to be dexter dying (properly) not like in new blood but in style. Really enjoyed the episode.
The pilot of Resurrection smartly leaps forward from the underwhelming finale of New Blood. Dexter survives a near-fatal gunshot and emerges from a coma ten weeks later, immediately setting the tone for high stakes: his son Harrison is now in New York, and Miami Metro PD's Angel Batista is resurrected back to the plot with more questions than sighs. Michael C Hall is back with full force. His portrayal of a recovering, determined Dexter feels authentic and deeply tense-struggling between burying and succumbing to his darker urges. The Pilot episode is a gripping and confident restart for the franchise. By reconnecting Dexter with his son, respecting returning characters, and introducing surreal ghost visits from some familiar faces, the episode balances nostalgia with fresh thematic weight.
10/10 fireeeeee 🔥🔥🔥.. he's back. Episode 1 of Dexter: New Blood (Resurrection) is a brilliant return to form. It masterfully revives the chilling charm of Dexter Morgan while introducing a fresh, snowy setting that contrasts perfectly with his dark past. The pacing is tight, the writing sharp, and Michael C. Hall slips back into his role like he never left. There's a satisfying tension between his new peaceful life and the lurking urge to kill again. The cinematography is beautiful and haunting, and the reappearance of old habits keeps viewers hooked. It's a gripping, emotional, and suspenseful start that promises a powerful season ahead.
