The recently released Indonesian remake of "A Business Proposal" is a significant disappointment. The acting is subpar across the board, with performances lacking depth and authenticity. Abidzar Al Ghifari's portrayal of the CEO, Utama, is particularly unconvincing. His attempt to embody a charismatic and ambitious leader falls flat, as he fails to capture the essence of a corporate executive. His performance lacks the gravitas and presence required for such a role, making it difficult for the audience to believe in his character's authority. This miscasting is exacerbated by Abidzar's own admission that he only watched one episode of the original series and chose to develop the character independently, which may have contributed to his lackluster performance. Overall, the film suffers from poor execution and fails to live up to the charm of its original Korean counterpart.
If you have read the webtoon version and watched the Korean drama series, you will notice significant differences in the film adaptation. The acting quality of the cast feels forced, and it seems like they haven't fully embraced their characters, making it hard to connect with the story.
The humor in the film often feels forced, leading to discomfort while watching. Many scenes are either confusing or missing, which disrupts the flow of the story. However, this didn't bother me much since I had already watched the TV drama version beforehand.
The age gap between the main male and female leads is poorly matched. In the original series, they were portrayed as mature individuals ready for marriage. However, in this film, the male lead comes off as an unstable teenager, lacking the successful and charismatic demeanor that the story requires.
My suggestion: if you've already watched the TV drama, skip this film as it will likely disappoint you.

I'm giving this film a rating of 1 as a strong warning to the actor. His dismissive remark, labeling the fans as 'fanatic,' shows a lack of respect and responsibility from someone in the spotlight. Remember, 'Your mouth is your tiger'-your words carry weight and can inflict real damage. I hope this serves as a wake-up call not only for him but for all public figures: think before you speak, because careless words can undermine the very values of diversity and respect that we should all uphold.
Furthermore, this incident reflects a broader issue within the entertainment industry where a lack of sensitivity and accountability from celebrities can lead to widespread disillusionment among fans. The film's decision to include such divisive commentary has unfortunately overshadowed its artistic qualities. It is crucial that actors and public figures recognize the immense influence they wield and understand that their statements resonate far beyond the screen. This moment should serve as an opportunity for self-reflection and growth. If entertainers can take this criticism to heart and engage in meaningful dialogue with their audience, the overall quality of public discourse will improve, paving the way for a more respectful and inclusive cultural landscape. Ultimately, responsibility in speech is as important as the craft of performance itself.

I'm extremely disappointed with this remake. I was hoping for something new and exciting, but unfortunately, it brings nothing to the table. Nothing stands out, and there's no reason to keep watching.
The acting is also unimpressive. The cast just goes through the motions, delivering mediocre performances. There's no emotional connection, no memorable moments, and no standout performances.
I fail to understand the purpose of this remake. Was it just a cash grab? Or is there something I'm missing? Whatever the reason, this film offers no redeeming value and is not worth your time.
Recommendation Don't waste your time and money on this film. Look for something better and more engaging.

Important thing in entertain world, It's important to maintain your own image and also the character you're playing, take an example from your senior actors and partners who are very professional in getting to know the character with watching the original drama for they're going to play, "I'm going to create my own character" is very inappropriate to do, especially if you're playing a character from a REMAKE FILM! I emphasize FILM REMAKE! And also the biggest mistake is to badmouth your audience! I hope all the producer and Director, please pay attention and review the actors you choose to play in your film. The quality of the actor is the key to the success of a film.
