Sleazy, painful and with an unsatisfying conclusion. Bit like life.

Anyone familiar with Rumley's previous work will not be disappointed, not quite up there with Red, White and Blue IMHO but an excellent film nonetheless.

Why is there a minimum character count, does everything have to be a thesis?

Or not? No pun intended - this delves into the parts of the human mind and brain, that I reckon we would like not to explore or talk about. Not saying everyone things like that - especially when it comes to animals (in the movie itself you can see different opinions).

Some of the acting is - well not top notch to say the least. But it all gets elevated by the themes of the movie. Which takes us on a ride - a difficult and at times disgusting one ... some may even stop watching at a certain moment. It never fully gets gross (visually speaking), but it is enough to imagine what is about to happen ... and it some cases actually does happen.

There is a brutal scene towards the end of the movie, which "Fish called Wanda" kind of has taken the edge away from me - you'll understand ... Ken and all that.

That said, the movie asks a lot of uneasy question and is really good in pointing out how far some would go ... the line is blurred between good and bad ... forgiveness is not easy to give ...
