The Dark Passenger Takes Control Again

The episode starts quickly with Dexter returning to his dark world After waking from his coma Dexter appears composed but determined showing that the Dark Passenger inside him is still alive

The police focus their investigation on Harrison His interaction with Detective Claudette Wallace during questioning reveals maturity beyond his years and hints at the possibility that he may follow a dark path similar to his father

Dexter resumes his old habits by tracking a serial killer targeting Uber drivers named Ronald Schmidt The cat and mouse game between Dexter and Schmidt highlights Dexters intelligence and meticulous planning

The scenes showing Dexter preparing his kill room are detailed and ritualistic symbolizing his full return to his cold and controlled nature

The climax is the confrontation between Dexter and Schmidt Dexters calm and deadly approach makes the scene chilling His declaration I am Dexter signifies reclaiming his identity and power

The episode ends with Dexter discovering an invitation to a secret killers gathering which requires biometric verification using a severed finger This opens the door to a darker and more complex world hinting at new threats and alliances

    Themes and Character Development

Harrisons storyline raises the question of whether he is destined to follow in his fathers footsteps or choose a different path His calmness in lying and manipulating reveals new psychological depth

Dexters full acceptance of his identity is central to this episode His ritualistic return to killing shows he no longer fights the darkness but embraces it as part of who he is

The invitation to the killers club suggests Dexter is moving from a lone predator to a player in a larger and more dangerous community

    Overall Impression

Episode three successfully balances intense psychological drama with thrilling procedural elements It revitalizes Dexters character by grounding him in his original dark complexity while pushing the story toward new and intriguing directions The episodes pacing character interactions and suspenseful climax make it a standout episode in the new season.

    Bone Appetit

Once again, as with the first two episodes, I'm struck by how much the fun and the funny are back. Perhaps because they were so lacking in the dreadful 'New Blood.' Even Michael C. Hall seems to be having a much better time-I know Dexter is!

So far, so good, no extremely annoying Deb (Jennifer Carpenter). Instead, we get a lot of screen time from the very enjoyable Harry (James Remar). Even Jack Alcott (Harrison), whom I could not stand in 'New Blood,' is born-again watchable. Newcomer Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Blessing Kamara) is a delight. The only clunker is Kadia Sarah (Det. Claudette Wallace). The character is something out of a Russian spy movie and would never, ever be a NYC detective. Unfortunately, the actress is as annoying as the character.

Then, when it couldn't get any better, we take a trip back to Miami and meet up with Angel (David Zayas), Quinn (Desmond Harrington) and Masuka (C. S. Lee).

    Great episode

The show has been off to an amazing start. It feels like watching the old Dexter again. New blood made him look sloppy, stupid, make a lot of mistakes and completely go against the Dexter we knew. Resurrection is putting things back to how they should be. Smart characters making smart decisions. Characters making mistakes and doing things that make no sense is just a lazy way for writers to get themself out of a box. This show goes back to what made Dexter an amazing show. Cold, calculated and smart. The reunion of the legacy characters was also great and sets up what will be inevitable later on in the season. Just an excellent episode and excellent start to the show so far.

    Urcar or my car ah

Episode 3 of dexter resurrection keeps the tension rising as Dexter juggles his new life and old instincts. His cover starts to crack as the searches. Harrison is growing and adds emotional weight considering hes the goats son. Meanwhile the creepy subplot with the masked man and his victim makes the suspense rise even more The pacing is tight the writing is decent, and the ending leaves you uneasy in the best way. Its not just nostalgia the shows building its own fire and bringing back that CLASSIC COMEDY we love with the also dark stuff... In my opinion this was the best episode so far. Its dark, emotional, and nervewracking in all the right ways. Oh and i heard this got confirmed for 3 seasons I really hope they dont mess it up i mean so far Im really optimistic but 3 seasons seems a bit insane.

    It was a good episode

In this episode, he really shined and got the hang of using his own name. I think he did well. He will meet new serial killers and I wonder what will happen. I hope it will be very good this season. I liked this Dexter series, it is very good actually. But Dexter is an iconic series, they are doing a great job, I am waiting for it too, when will Brain Moser come out, there will be 1 or 2 episodes, it will be 1 hour full with Dexter.

    • Curiosidades
Dexter uses the name Dr Patrick Bateman to receive the M99 - Etorphine - from another doctor. In American Psycho, Dr Patrick Bateman (played by Christian Bale) is a banking executive who hides his alternate psychopathic ego and serial killer tendencies from the outside world.
    • Pifias
Dexter refers to Ronald Schmidt as "Red" before entering Schmidt's apartment and before anyone has said the nickname to him. There is no scene showing Dexter learning this information from any source, making it unclear how he could know the nickname at that point in the story.
