Magne Havnaa was 6 foot three inches. The movie depicted him as a maximum 6 foot man. In reality he looks looked more like Ivan Drago. He was a blod and big man, not a half size and good game ginger as he is depicted in the movie.
Lots of great stuff but the casting of the champ was really bad.
Tobias Santelmann did, as always, a great job portraying his brother, Erling.

As a huge fan of Mrs Christie's books as well as the television adaptation starring David Suchet, I regard myself as a fan of monsieur Poirot and his universe. There are certain traits common in all the books and the before mentioned television adaptation;, interesting characters, a distinctive atmosphere, a story that unfolds fully and brilliantly in layers and the all familiar lead up to the dramatic conclusion. A time tested recipe that keeps people wanting more stories. As a child I used to read the books during summer and still remember how they made me feel. It transferred me back in time and to exciting places full of fascinating characters, where unthinkable acts of cruelty happened.
I never feel any of that from any of Mr Branagh's adorations and certainly not from this one. All of his adaptations try so hard to be interesting, more modern, different spin and so on. But as the recent TV adaptations they fail to be compelling. This is a very boring movie. Cast is terrible and the pace is off. Story has been changed for the worse. It never felt like this film is taking place in the world Agatha Christie created. It's a shame. Because I love that world and I enjoy every time I get to visit it.

Gosling played well. Action was fine. Note to all action movie directors and producers; please avoid having tiny women fighting large men. Better having a woman who looks like she potentiality are able to fight an average man. No woman can fight a capable man, but a buff woman would at least look the part.
All in all, dissatisfied.
