This is a great show; however, if somebody is watching this that has to read the subtitles, it would just be unfortunate.
At some brief moments I saw bits of subtitles, those don't carry the humour and sincerity of the dialogues. It's as if the subtitles were shortcuts and the meanings are lost.
I am a native speaker and the dubbing and subtitles are of no use to me.
Story-wise, this is very creative and it really takes one on a journey to a realization, character development. This makes me remember the melancholic movie, Purple rose of Cairo, but witty, modern, and fun and the movie, The Truman Show, how it shows real life.
A great movie. Great actors. Definitely recommend.

I actually want to watch it again!
I don't think I'm biased being a fan for years, but this movie is just great. The songs they picked, the moments of his life where they put it in, and how they sew all these together in one movie, they are well done. The two hours of movie, it didn't feel like it was that long because it was packed with different events and points in his life that makes one want to get deeper and deeper into it. In my head, I wish it was longer.
The CGI... there really is no explanation for it: it's Robbie. If you know Robbie, it makes sense.
One of the best movies I've seen in a decade!

It is difficult to not compare this with the original but I watched it with an open mind. I did find this to be a good take of the original but it lost a lot of the great things the original have.
For me...
I like that the drama stayed true to the original for the most part. But its weaknesses were the removal of the some of the greatest aspects of the original. There's a lot going for this drama, and it could have been better - it being a remake. It just didn't dig enough as profoundly as the original.
For me...
- It failed to build the solid and profound relationship between the male leads. It really wasn't as meaningful as the original.
- Things are more spelled out in this version. The dialogues explain what is going on. The original version on the other hand compels the audience to put the puzzle together because clues are definitely there. The audience becomes more of the mystery-solvers.
- Some of the characters, though existed in the original, did not play a role in the drama (ie. The brother)
- They reduced the adventures of the teens. The adventures of the original shows a before and after situation - and that changes the characters. Because this version had less of it, it is very weak in setting a distinction between two characters. The distinction was instead made in the dialogues (spelling it out)
