This show has been an escape throughout all my highs and lows, it's effortless humor and exploration of all these different character archetypes immediately jumps out at the viewer throughout the constant rollercoster the show provides. It's able to both be funny and sad when it needs to be providing the watcher with an abundance of emotion, it explores the relationship dynamics of a New York based friend groups throughout their youth in the city like many sit coms. This one however pairs all the beauty of all of the sitcoms similar to this before them while sitll being separate to the bunch a stand out in the crowd as it's able to be enjoyed at all mature ages. It's able to constantly be rewatched whenever and is a show as long as you have a basis of everything your able to turn on any episode and understand. It dives into a world of different career path and life choices with a vast array of different perspectives and experiences that ultimately all come together to live out their lives together ultimately being a story of the battle of romance.
This show builds up an aura around the NBA, perfectly capturing the essence of characters within the NBA. The old guard of guys like the king Lebron as they move onto the next chapter of their careers not being the MVP caliber player anymore while still being able to defy father time. Or even the more in your face type of players guys like Ant-Man Edward's or Jimmy Butler, showing these personalities off the floor as well depicting the toll the NBA has on a players body and its impact on their family and the dynamics the players have with their families.
The show is however very convoluted, every episode being a mix of every player i think that if they'd dedicated each episode to just one player instead of traveling the corse of a season it would've been easier to understand especially since you'd have to assume this is aimed towards kids and their first exposure into the NBA. It also forces a lot of narratives and pushes agendas to give to the stars of the show not really accepting the reality of it.
