Not gonna lie, Dispatch might be my pick for Game of the Year. AdHoc Studios and the entire team made something incredible and should feel proud. Glad to see the spirit of Telltale games still alive and thriving today. Alongside titles like Expedition 33, Dispatch stands out as one of the best written games in recent years. The story is strong, engaging, and compelling from start to finish, It's such an immersive experience that it often feels less like playing a game and more like watching a show or a movie. Every character is so lovable and fun to hear their interactions with each other thanks to the incredible cast, though it also makes it even harder when you have to choose between some of them. I'll say it, as much as I enjoy Blonde Blazer as a character, I definitely think romanticizing Invisigal gets you more progression out of the story. The final episode was so Peak, seeing every character return, everyone joining your team to kick Shroud's ass and seeing all your choices throughout the game finally play out was one of the hypest gaming moments of the year. I love how everything ties together so cleanly and ends on such a satisfying conclusion. I'd be completely down for a Season Two if they decide to make it, but if not, then I'm perfectly fine with how things wrapped up. If you're tired of seeing your favorite streamers picked the wrong option (Cory) then I highly recommend playing Dispatch for yourself, trust me, you won't regret it.
His names Baby, and he's one helluva driver. For the longest time I've had this sudden urge to watch Baby Driver after constantly making that same terrible joke, now that I finally have, I can safely say that it's an absolute banger. Definitely the sort of over the top, dumb fun movie I was looking for and it definitely didn't disappoint. The driving scenes are every bit as cool and creative as I'd hoped, packed with precision, rhythm, and style. The cast absolutely nails their roles, each character adding their own unique flair to the chaos, also finally a movie where the main character doesn't get screwed over by the huzz. What really makes this movie stand out though is the way it utilizes the music. Every track syncs into each scene perfectly, feeling very classical, stylish and never too mainstream. There's also that one bananas meme I'm sure some of you got, definitely the hypest moment of the entire film. Overall, Baby Driver is a fun, adrenaline fueled ride with style, music, and heart that'll leave you at the edge of your car seat.
Finally decided to get into Kamen Rider, and after watching the first few episodes of Kamen Rider Gavv, I was instantly hooked. If you're a foodie or just love anything snack related, this series is an absolute treat. The Snack themed power system is wildly creative while being very bizarre in the best way possible. The Gochizo are adorable and each grant a unique transformation for Shoma, love how versatile all the snack abilities are and how creative they get with the armor and utilization of each ability, both the cake and ice cream forms are easily my favorites alongside the final form, Gochipod. The cast is great, and the character development is surprisingly strong. My favorites have to be my goats Hanto (Valen) and Rakia (Vram) who completely stole the show for me alongside Shoma. While the series may look bright, colorful, and lighthearted on the surface, it dives into much darker territory than you'd expect. The story is packed with drama, emotional twists, and genuine character growth that keeps you fully invested. Having the main villains be members of Shoma's own family adds an extra layer of tension and depth that really elevates the show. Overall, Kamen Rider Gavv takes a weird but wonderful concept and executes it perfectly. It's a fresh, creative, and emotionally engaging series that's absolutely worth checking out.
