This was a good movie... If you're 14 and watching your first horror film... lol. It literally felt like a slightly more gorey episode of "are you afraid of the dark?" Hahahaha.

Ps: I hate when filmmakers feel the need to explain everything verbally as if viewers are too stupid to figure it out otherwise. It's bad storytelling.

I'm a geriatric millennial who has seen the original so many times I could quote the entire thing by heart.

And I love this remake. Adore. Heart with all my heart. It's different but not so much that they ruin what we loved about it, the characters are endearing and there's so much room for growth, something the original movie did not provide. I think there's room for more revenge plots and redemption and grey areas.

I also loooove how they used snippets of the original soundtrack. Now, if they could bring some of the original cast. Like, I need Christine Baranski as Cece's mother.

I need a season 2. I need it now.

I am new to the kdrama world... I've seen about 15 of them in the last months (and it's true what they say... once you start, anything non-korean becomes pale in comparison)

But THIS series was... something else. It was tragic, creepy, romantic, stressful, exciting, beautiful, moving, cruel, horrible... all at once. And it's absolutely NOT predictable. Every time you think you know, you realize you don't. And everything comes together in the most perfect of ways. I cried, I screamed... I went through SO many emotions!

(Also... Lee Joon Gi is a master at his craft. He's hands down the best actor out there if you ask me!)
