To be honest, I wanted it to be as good, if not better than the first in this series of "switch up" movies I've watched over the years. At first, when the flick started, it was like a lot of others, slooooow - and it sadly stayed that way for nearly the first 40 mins of the film. And as I sat thru, what I began seeing as another train wreck, I thought this film should've went straight to Disney+

But, after the first hour (which it should not have taken that long to gain my attention) the film got gradually better. But, it was not til the final 30 mins when the film began to win me over. Was it Disney's best - far from it, but once it showed itself to have a bit of "heart" it was a fun watch.

Soooo...to be honest I wasn't holding my breath for a great live action remake - Seeing as I'd been let down far too many times this year with all the other crud coming out of Hollyweird. But, I must say this remake was totally worthy of not only seeing, but praising. This was a first rate remake of a beloved animated feature. My heartfelt kudos to all involved in this remake - You should all take a well deserved "bow" for a remarkable job. I only hope that those in the process of doing more remakes will learn from this team and make more worthwhile features for all to see in the coming year - Thanks!!!

You know, I use to love seeing Disney flicks because they were filled with great story, well developed characters and a magic that filled me with a sense of childlike wonder - this redo totally lacked all of that - thanks again Disney for nearly ruining another memorable movie for me. But alas...

Even though this movie left me feeling no real sense of that once upon a time magic - I'll never give up on one day seeing a return to wonderful movies filled with all those things. I'm a writer, and I love telling stories filled with all the things I spoke of - and one day, I will see that yet again.
