An amazing film - a whole lot of fun from start to finish. It felt like the director drew inspiration from some of his previous work, like Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler, as well as from other iconic action/thrillers not directly connected to him, such as Terminator 2, Heat (1995), and even aspects of the John Wick series. I really loved how inspired it felt. The food market sequence was fantastic and will definitely be talked about for a long time. The twists and turns kept me on edge throughout, and I already want to rewatch it just to take it all in again. The cat was amazing, too. Definitely recommend!!!

Enjoyed it way more on this rewatch (first time in 5 years). It does drag a bit here and there, making it feel longer than it is, but overall it's really fun. The metal detector scene still cracks me up - easily one of my favourites. Decent stuff!

A pretty decent film. Act 1 was definitely a slow burn, but Acts 2 and 3 moved much faster (which was good). The film knows what it's doing. It really shines when exploring themes of loneliness and feeling like an outcast. I loved the references to films like Billy Elliot and even some eerie indie horror movies. I don't want to give too much away, because it's actually quite a sweet film and it surprised me in a few places.
