I'll probably forget this movie 5 mins from now. I mean, if the 1st one wasn't so great, this may have been a decent film. And that is the only reason I give it a 5, because it is objective. But the let down from the first would put this closer to a 1 or 2.
I knew this when I saw the trailer and the film confirms it. A different director that doesn't know the heart of what made the first one so good. This one feels more like a direct to video satire of the first. The jokes are lame and cliche, the music sucks, and the action is bland.
It lost the artistry of what made the first film a masterpiece.

I couldn't decide if this is a 6 or 7, but I decided to give it a 7 because it is a very complete film. By that I mean from start to finish, it is complete and the ending resolves any issues in the film so you feel satisfied that nothing was left out.
The story is decent enough and the action is are pretty good. But what I like about the film is the acting, nothing over the top, people are reasonable and not comic book cliches or caricature. The protagonist is relatable, his struggles, and concerns. It is a breath of fresh air to get a protagonist that is humble and not some macho jerk.
Even the villains in this film are quite reasonable, we know why they did what they did, and they're not really like comic book evil bad guys. They're just regular folks tempted by the wrong things, ended up in a spiral out of control situation they created for themselves.
Overall I was entertained.

I expected a lot more. You have big names, and you have Ana. You have big budget, I expected a lot more than what was in this film.
It seems to be a Netflix knockoff of James Bond. I like the various locations, but they were not really memorable. The focus doesn't really bring out the right elements of each place.
But the real problem is the action scenes are not really outstanding. They were not bad, just "meh." Gosling is not a fighting action star like Van Dam or something, so his moves were slow. The choreography was "too close" that you can't really see much. The shooting part was also, lack-luster, no John Wicks.
The only real good part is the chase scene near the 3/4 of the film. And that perhaps is its only saving grace.
Because of the average entertainment, the 2 hrs seemed to drag. I'd probably give it a higher score if it is only 1 and a 1/2 hrs long.
