The cast is great. The movie is hilarious and scary at the right times. The script is tight and gets to the point. The unicorns sound terrifying. The scares are built up and delivered well.
But this is a creature feature. I came to see the monsters. And from the first sight of a unicorn it's clear that corners were cut and pennies were pinched. The movement, especially in daylight scenes, is choppy and looks superimposed. CGI has come such a long way, even on more cheaply made movies. CGI has been better on movies from this same studio.
You spent money on the cast and on a very well made movie. This would have been an elite level movie with better attention to the creatures.
You could have made a killing.
