I watched *Solaris* and now my soul is a haunted dacha.
I communed with a sentient ocean and lost.
Russians (Tarkovsky and the cast) can really get to the deepest corners of your soul and make you feel like you'll never be whole again.
The movie has stunning cinematography and mesmerizing visuals. It slowly breaks your heart and I really mean it when I say slowly because it has scenes that seem to never end but that have an impact on your soul.
I hope Andrei Tarkovsky left a post Solaris therapy fund before he died in 1986 because I will sure as hell need it. If I can give anyone tips to watch this movie is, get the tissues, you will not stop crying at the end and HYDRATE.
