Don't waste your time with this one. Predictable, boring, ridiculous unbelievable plot twists, poor acting. If this is an example of Harlan Corbin's writing I'm not going to waste my time watching any movies based on his books or even reading any of his books. I am a huge fan of Bill Nighy but I am surprised he agreed to appear in such a poorly executed movie.

I wish I could say that I liked this movie but I did not. Emma Thompson's performance was very good but the story was rather impossible to believe and there was too much violence and gore. It was grueling to watch. I didn't like the ending either. I found this movie to be very brutal in many ways and very depressing. Didnt enjoy it at all.

I agree with all the negative reviews. The only thing good about this series was the scenery. The plot was convoluted, confusing, illogical, ridiculous, etc. In other words, every negative adjective you can think of. After six episodes of really painful, slow moving episodes, filled with too many long boring sex scenes, the ending was jumbled together, filmed in darkness so you couldn't see or identify any of the major characters, impossible to understand, completely implausible and extremely unsatisfactory. Don't waste your time with this one there are many much better series out there.
