Overall, I loved the goal that he set out to do, the sheer courage and dedication required for such a risky and insane endeavour. The visuals were stunning and it was nice to see the Nepalese being highlighted. That being said, where was the feeling of true struggle? Obviously it was very difficult but it came across as largely "no big deal for me and my Nepalese brothers, we're out here slaying peaks and saving westerners. Compared to other documentaries, eg. Free Solo, Meru, it wasn't shown the depth of struggle that they had to go through (perhaps this should have been a multi-part documentary?).
Also I really wish they (he) would have not taken aim at westerners - a) its quite well known that Sherpa's are "badass," as another reviewer stated, and it doesn't need explanation, b) its better to come across as humble and let the world decide. And it looked reckless and negligent when he pushed the other teams to complete K2, but I'm not a mountaineer so I might be wrong of course. Finally, "it's not in my blood" was so ironic because it literally is in his blood. The Nepalese are among the most genetically suited for a sport (mountaineering) as any other race by comparison imo (eg. Ethiopian long distance running). He didn't even acknowledge that part but anyways, I'm just highlighting the apparent lack of humility because I don't see many others doing so. With a longer, more in-depth documentary, it's possible he is shown in a better light, but compared to other documentaries, he comes across as rather arrogant and bitter against westerners. Maybe I'm way off. Regardless, it's still a pretty good documentary! Cheers.

For a sci fi movie, this really hit the spot. My fav SciFi movies/shows for reference are Interstellar, The Expanse, Oblivion, The Matrix, etc. The visual effects, sound/music, settings, even the character development, was pretty good. The sci fi and futuristic elements were amazing, along the lines of minority report, Oblivion, or Bladerunner 2049. The acting was surprisingly good as well and I enjoyed the mix of cultural incorporation. I was surprised by this movie considering the reviews. Really moved me! Cheers.
