Always been a "Wizard of Oz" fan and I read and saw the "Wicked" play and saw the first film so you're right I returned to see the conclusion and final chapter "Wicked: For Good". And the film was entertaining and energy filled with music and again it's a journey of love, friendship, doubt, and trust! This time Elphaba(a fine performance from Cynthia) is well established as the wicked witch of the west, and she still is against the grain and challenges and questions the wizard. Still in conflict and dealing with her differences with Glinda(Ariana Grande) the good witch. Only things change with drama and accidents! As a house is dropped in Oz with a girl named Dorothy! Overall the production, design, and sets once again make it a tribute and a super great motion picture, really this was a fitting way to end this franchise!
Every once and awhile a film comes out and along that makes a statement while pushing it's themes and points to the max. With this drama "Die My Love" it certainly does just that in a most aggressive and crazy like way, as the central character seems to be trapped in an endless nightmare never reaching the end only to see clearly once the rain is gone. Set in rural Montana it involves a mid to late 30's couple Grace(Lawrence) and Jackson(Robert Pattinson) who love one another and they are very intimate and bold and raw with one another, and by making a child, things change for Grace in many forms as her life goes into madness. Along the way a good supporting turn is given from veteran Sissy Spacek. However the scenes and blunt provocative images lead the way in this film, as Grace sees her life is motivated by anger, sexual frustration, doubt, chance, and freedom. Jennifer gives a sexy turn in this film as she shows plenty of skin and has nude scenes(even with some nipple shots!) Grace is a sexy multi colored bra wearing woman(love the scenes of her sporting the multi colored bra, and the pink/purple panties plus her scene of her wearing the sexy silk green colored bra before she dives into the pool is most enjoyable, as Jennifer really rocked in this film!) Thru it all with the sex, drama, and friends and family it proves that love finds it's way thru the darkness! Overall may not be everyone's cup of tea, yet I felt this was an excellent drama of a mid to late 30's woman who discovered and found herself thru struggles, with good and bad and positives and negatives. Really Jennifer should be considered for some award nominations with this work.
If you watch or know anything about the movies of Yorgos Lanthimos you know they are hard to understand and complex often going off the track. And with this entry "Bugonia" it's much the same as it clearly was hard to understand and get a call and take on. Set in the modern world led by two determined answer seekers(one played to form by Jesse Plemons) they believe a high powered CEO named Michelle(Emma Stone who's a Mrs. Obama want to be!) really could be an alien! So they kidnap her and plot and experiment to prove things, and really this film goes far and widely off track! Memorable is seeing Emma's, Michelle character have her head shaved and she's tied up and gagged as a damsel in distress. Really strange and crazy weird movie watch if you want and see what you get out of it and if you can understand something!
Thru the years have liked many of Bruce Springsteen's songs, and I always enjoy seeing bio type films. So for sure I watched this take from director Scott Cooper called "Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere" as it tells the journey and life about the path that Bruce took to music stardom. Mostly told with plenty of flashback the film is a showcase about the tough and rough upbringing that one Bruce had as he grew up poor and dealt with a bad homelife with an alcoholic father who abused his mother. His love for words, folk tales and music and song was the only escape out of Jersey. Along the way the memories of pain influenced his music while doubt, and conflicts and power struggles with agents and record promoters and while battling about tours and singles helped make Bruce the man he was. The music is a journey down memory lane for any fan, and the performance from Jeremy Allen White does stand out as good and likable as his portrayal of Springsteen is well done. Overall a must watch for any fan of bio pictures or fans of the "Boss" will enjoy it.
This "AHP" episode "Night Fever" number 2 from season 1 which first aired on 10-6-85 clearly is one of the better one's as it has a clever twist that you didn't see coming! Jerry(Robert Carradine) is a creep and sleazy like criminal who after robbing a liquor store shoots a cop and now he's a cop killer. However Jerry was also wounded and has to do a hospital stay before jail, however the plot thickens when a nice and sweet nurse named Ellen takes over the duty of caring for him. Both Jerry and Ellen fill each other out and play the game only when Ellen leaves with Jerry her plan is even more clever and twisted it's one of revenge! Overall excellent great super episode with it's twist one of the series best!
"The Vice Channel" has done it again with another kick butt series that has loyal fans reliving the greatest and best super moments of sports that they love and remember! "NFL Classics: After Further Review" hosted by "NFL Network's" Kyle Brandt who looks at the most memorable and classic iconic games in "NFL" history with footage played back for the fans to see as the game unfolds and pop up's on the screen with stats and historical info, plus we are treated with commentary from famous fans and ex NFL stars who give their thoughts and takes on the special historical moments. Really fun and entertaining series that any longtime "NFL" fan will enjoy!
Never really a UFC or mixed marital arts fan still anything with the "Rock Johnson" starring in is a watch. He was compelling and raw and gritty in his portrayal of former big time fighter Mark Kerr who struggled inside and outside of the ring with his own demons of addiction, anxiety and love thru it all his rock who helps hold him together is love interest Dawn(the beautiful and blunt Emily Blunt). Overall good bio like picture of toughness, and the ups and downs of competition and life.
Always enjoy documentary works especially of well knon and famous people when they spill it all. With Charlie Sheen being one of my favorite and most liked actors, after checking out this "Netflix" doc "AKA Charlie Sheen" I appreciate him even more. In a two part look it looks at his rise and fall in Hollywood, Charlie now sober recounts his troubled past with flames like Denise Richards among others, also explored is his feuds and differences with "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre and co star Jon Cryer, both of whom Sheen had falling out's with. Really thru it all you see that Sheen lived and pushed the limits with fame as his life became something it was not suppose to be!
Remember as a kid watching the "Pee-Wee's Playhouse" show on Saturday mornings on "CBS", and it was an escape as art and reality blended and it took me away as a kid. This two part "HBO" doc "Pee-wee as Himself" is an excellent blunt, brash, provocative beautiful mission that looks at one Paul Reubens/Pee Wee Herman for who he really is. With 40 plus hours of interviews and clips made before his death it challenges you as the fan and viewer to think about Paul as a man, entertainer, and art performer like you never had. Paul admits him and Pee Wee were both real and were one in the same. This is one doc to watch for any pop culture buff or Pee Wee fan it's a playful treat!
This "Black Mirror"(from "Netflix") episode number one from season 7 called "Common People" was one mind numbing and drama filled one that really was tough as it spins to where things are not as they are advertised or it's not what it seems. Simple story Amanda(Rashida Jones) a school teacher has a medical tragedy and her husband is offered a plan from Gaynor(Tracee Ellis Ross) called "Rivermind". However things are not what they seem as things come at a price. The episode is heart wrenching as it shows how a high tech system can destroy one's life.
If you watch the movies of Darren Aronofsky ("Black Swan", and "The Wrestler") you know that they are often dark and look at the bad things of life. With this entry "Caught Stealing" set in late 1998 in New York City, it's a deep dive into a scary and complex underworld, where no one is whom them seem. Ex baseball player Hank(Austin Butler) who's now down on his luck and earning a living behind the bar and not the plate, and his life changes drastically all of a sudden one day when he's given a cat, soon he has a group of criminals hot on his tail. Thru it all no one is whom or what they seem as the film takes twist and turns with action, car chases, and blood and violence. The wild card character of the film is shady police detective Roman(the super great Regina King). The movie has also some funny moments and Hank has plenty of flashbacks of pain, sugar and spice and plenty of eye candy is given from Zoe Kravitz as she gives a sexy turn with her time on screen as Hank's sexy exotic girl Yvonne(loved the scenes of her in that orange/ red colored like bra, and the nipple rings were A okay!). Overall this may not be a classic from Darren still it's an entertaining thrill ride that after plenty of crashes ends with a man and his cat who have clawed the way to a new life to live happily ever after!
All of us are avid sports fans, I for one am and this short "Netflix" doc "The Turnaround" was one excellent behind the scenes feel good real life look at how sports teams and players shape one's life. Jon McCann a man who has his own personal and private issues is a lifelong Phillies baseball fan, and like many he feels the pain when newly signed all star shortstop Trea Turner has signed, yet struggles with a hitting slump. Thru it all Jon navigates life and deals with cheering Trea on it's like Turner gives him a motivation to live on! Overall touching and personally emotional doc that's a tribute to captain Jon and it makes you stand up and cheer for Turner and the Fighting Phils! Also the doc short was executive produced by former president Obama and the just fine and sexy former first lady Michelle.
If you watch any movies from the Coen brothers you know that they are entertaining, fun, and blunt and brash, and end with you making your own call! And that fits this latest "Honey Don't!" which was directed by Ethan Coen. Set in Bakersfield, California the film begins with a strange murder, and the picture sprawls out and connects characters and things up and together. Thru it all everything seems to be tied back to a local church which is ran by a creepy sex crazy minister (Chris Evans). Small town P. I. Donahue (Margaret Qualley) is all over things investigating only things get more complex with deaths, missing people and a little of this and that. Look for good supporting turns with Charlie Day as a lazy detective and Aubrey Plaza as MG as a shady small town deputy sheriff. Plus the film is spiced with much and plenty of kinky sex scenes and women wearing sexy colored bras, and nipple scenes too!(plenty of eye candy). For sure this film really has much on the plate, and it's a tasty entertaining digest, only it seems to end all of a sudden and you the viewer are left forming your own take. Still the film was a sexy fun joy ride to watch.
As far as liking a certain genre of film I from time to time like to watch a good western, and with this entry "Americana" it was a modern day raw and gritty journey as I as the viewer felt the cowboys vs. Indians and cops and Robbers style. Set in South Dakota it involves a criminal scheme and a young man(Paul Walter Hauser) looking for love. Add in outsiders and outcast it's as if no one seems to be who they are, things connect up between the central characters as all are involved someway or the other. Look for Zahn McClarnon("Dark Winds") in a supporting turn and Sydney Sweeney as wild card character waitress Penny Jo(who becomes a damsel in distress by being tied up and gagged). The film has plenty of twist and excitement as it's a fun journey thru the old west that movie lovers should enjoy.
Growing up as a kid in the late 80's and early 90's I enjoyed watching the "Naked Gun" movies as they were funny as all get out with slapstick comedy and parody like moments as Leslie and Pressley shined. Now it's on to a new generation as Frank Drebin Jr.(Liam Neeson) is now in charge and carrying on a funny old family police tradition! The police squad is fun to watch with Frank Jr. As he does it his way while getting the bad guys! To spice things up in a sexy and eye candy like way is his girlfriend Beth(the elegant and still beautiful Pamela Anderson) who puts it all on the line for Frank Jr. As Beth even becomes a damsel in distress being tied up and gagged by the bad guys. This is movie is a nice modern funny little joy to watch and look for some supporting small parts from C C H Pounder as the police chief and pro wrestler Cody Rhodes as a bartender. If you liked the old "Naked Gun" movies you will enjoy this new chapter and journey of it.
Growing up as a kid in the 80's I loved big time professional wrestling, I had the memories of the regional leagues, and the feuds and bad and good guys, and of course during it all was the "WWF" which had highs and lows. This six part "Netflix" series called "Mr. McMahon" covered it all during Vince's 50 year wrestling work life. From starting under his dad Vince Sr. In Bangor, Maine to him taking wrestlers from rival regional independents, to becoming a media icon, and his battles with the "WCW" and the "Screwjob", to the "Attitude" push the envelope era and go against the grain, way to his family taking over the company (daughter Stephaine and hubby Triple H). It all comes around thru scandal and tragedies for a finish. This doc left a mark with interviews from "The Rock", "Stone Cold", and "Hulk Hogan", as many might call this Vince's fall from grace as many didn't like his tactics true Vince took hits while slamming real life foes. Love him or hate him any wrestling fan must watch this series to see Vince destroy the mom and pop's wrestling, all while taking the "WWF" into heights never thought of as it became a multimillion dollar entertainment brand of it's own.
Remember late nights on weekends this series use to run in syndication. Watching as a kid many of the episodes entertained me as it was like a mini cowboy show for me or a cop's and robber's chase short. Still despite from being interesting and entertaining the series had episodes of suspense and drama often involving evil curses, and ancient spells. The plot centered around an antique store owner who dealt with curses of old classic vintage items. Helped along by Micki(the attractive Louise Robey). My most memorable episodes were "Bedazzled", and "Mesmer's Bauble". Now I continue to watch reruns on classic TV independent channels.
Finally after many years I have watched the 1988 "They Live" film from legendary director John Carpenter("Halloween") and the story of the film was a little far out different and somewhat of an alien tease. Set in L. A. a drifter, loner and unemployed guy(played by late wrestler Roddy Piper at the height of his "Hot Rod" "WWF" fame) is looking for a job only he stumbles upon some strange things and sees crazy stuff. As thru the TV aliens are transporting and gaining control even luring humans to a deadly fate! Many don't know it, as senses and control of human life hangs in the balance, in a subplot and wild card like theme can a unique pair of sunglasses save the human race? Nothing super great still it's a nice little late night sci-fi watch.
The year 2020 is in hindsight, it's like we all remember it with "COVID-19", the killing of George Floyd, racial protest, political differences, and the backlash of social media. With this film "Eddington" writer and director Ari Aster captures and has all of us reliving those 2020 moments, in this long in depth and complex western drama. Set in Eddington, New Mexico a yes man and political veteran town mayor Ted Garcia(Pedro Pascal) wants to enforce the mask and mandate restrictions on the town, however the go against the grain local sheriff Joe Cross(the super great Joaquin Phoenix) challenges him and stands up against him and the establishment and starts a maverick campaign against him. Thru it all drama, and protest is felt in the form of George Floyd, and Donald Trump with racial and political protest. The film is a roller coaster and heart pounding edge of your seat journey with emotions as the standoff between Cross and Garcia feels like one of legendary rivals that both will bend and break the rules to get ahead and fight for what they believe in. The supporting cast helps the film along too with Emma Stone as Louise the scorned angry wife of Joe and Austin Butler and Deirdre O' Connell both give good turns as odd and wild yet likable wild card like characters. The action, blood, and gunfire is a treat to watch as that made the western theme feel more real. Overall excellent film one of the better one's I've watched in sometime as it feels real and contemporary as viewers could relate to the story as the movie showcased real happenings of the pandemic year supported by social media. And the characters of the film were blunt, brash, and stood up for what they believed in. "Eddington" is one raw outspoken film that one should not miss.
Belleza y poder
This "B@B" episode which originally aired on Thursday July 3, 2025 is one full of heart pounding suspense and dangerous drama. As Luna still crushed over the fact that Finn wants nothing to do with her develops a plan she baits and lures Steffy into a cat and mouse game at Hayes's school. Luna is one girl that's scorned hell have no fury as her wrath is to be felt and the poor innocent sweet Ms. Dylan(Sydney Bullock) is used as bait as the art teacher becomes a damsel in distress as Luna ties up and gags her and Ms. Dylan is locked in a side closet away from Steffy as the two argue and discuss Finn and Hayes overall heart pounding drama filled episode that would later lead to more dangerous things. It was nice to see the work of Sydney Bullock hopefully we see more of her as Ms. Dylan on the soap.
This "Friday the 13th" episode from season 2 episode number 20 which first aired on 5-1-89 and titled "Mesmer's Bauble" was one well done one with drama and sex appeal it was like a twisted soap opera. You have a weird and lonely record store clerk who's obsessed with a beautiful and famous female pop rock star named Angelica(the very sexy and now late Vanity). And after an antique shop is broken into and he obtains a magic pendant he has special powers as this could lead him into the arms of Angelica. The episode has to me a hurtful ending still it's memorable for Vanity playing a rock star beauty to form(she even has a few scenes in a sexy black bra!) Overall one of my favorite and most memorable episodes of the series!
In May of 1985 "NBC" revived the old classic "AHP" series with a new 80's and modern like twist with some old episodes even being remade. It all began with this pilot on May 5, 1985 as a two hour movie with four episodes they were titled and aired in the following order "Incident in a Small Jail", "Man from the South", "Bang. You're Dead!", and "An Unlocked Window". The first and best has a traveling California salesman Larry Broome(the old classic vet Ned Beatty) who comes upon a hitchhiker and a murder of young girl has taken place then this tale spins out of control as Larry and the hitchhiker find themselves in jail, the incident becomes filled with more drama as a mob wants revenge on them! However just when you think things are settled at ease the story takes a twist with Broome as he's not who he appears to be! The next two tales are far fetched and a little lame one involving a young tom boy like girl who plays to much with a gun in "Bang. You're Dead!" and then in a Las Vegas gambler tale called "Man from the South" if you get in debt you literally lose your fingers! It's most memorable for John Huston, and the sexy Melanie Griffith with even appearances by Kim Novak, and Tippi Hedren rounding out the story. The pilot finishes out in typical Hitchcock fashion with a wicked suspense like way in the episode "An Unlocked Window" as a nurse killer on the loose throws everyone for a surprise! Overall decent start for the 80's TV series as the episodes were moved along well by well knowns like Huston, Novak, Hedren, Griffith, and Beatty with the first episode "Incident in a Small Jail" being the best.
I for one always loved Japanese film, especially cult art house films that involve go against the grain stories. This erotic and intimate 1974 film one that I know as "The Oldest Profession" was certainly for sure entertaining and a kinky and eye opening watch. It follows the story of Tome(Meika Seri) a young and eager street smart sex worker who works the shops and businesses of Osaka, Japan. Aside from the wild and go get it living she deals with her insecure mother(who's also in the business) and her mentally disabled younger brother is a wild card like character of the film. Really thru it all this film is a journey a struggle and ride of survival it's a watch for any film buff who enjoys the Japanese cinema and has a taste for intimate erotic like pictures.
This episode of "CBS's" "The Bold and the Beautiful" was one well done one well written and one of the more sexy one's and the happenings were filled with drama and plotting schemes! From the opening scene you the viewer can feel the sex appeal in the air as Taylor walks into "FC" only to catch a surprise as Brooke(Katherine Kelly Lang) is in a very sexy purple colored bra and panties! Only Brooke is surprised as she was waiting for her honey Ridge, only Taylor has some choice words for Brooke as her dream seduction was interrupted. Then Luna gets some advice from Sheila as her plan to break Will and Electra up takes an odd plot twist as she dresses herself as a "Charlie Chaplain" like pizza delivery guy! Also Daphene is trying her own seduction game with Carter. Overall excellent sexy well done episode showing daytime TV at it's best!
One fun and funny well liked and good short is "The Hilarious Posters" from 1906! Long before the days of "Amazon", "Ebay", or window shopping at "J. C. Penny", "Macy's", or "Victoria Secret's", or just cart shopping at "Wal Mart" or "Target" or even shopping at an auction or flee market this was the way people shopped they were lured into products by the art they saw on poster walls! However this short takes a clever and unique fun twist all of a sudden the advertising comes alive to send it's message to by passers! Also look for some parody as some "Keystone Cop" like characters are featured. Overall well done classic enjoyable short that sends a message to customers.
