My Movie: Ninjas vs. Samurai

Evil shogun - leader of Samurai - is close to obtaining the soul-taker sword. MC, driven by her ire for the shogun after he murdered her daughter, sets out with her fellow ninja to thwart his plan. On her quest, she enlists the aid of others outside her clan.

Through various sources intel, they learn the details of the shogun's plan and the sword's location. Arriving too late, the shogun has already acquired the sword, and MC and her team are quickly defeated, barely able to escape.

Back at their home base, MC and her team are licking their wounds and scrambling to come up with a plan. MC is soon visited by Shiryu (the Purple Dragon), their deity/patron of the order. Shiryu tells MC to find and free her, and she will aid her in her fight. The dragon's location has been unkown for centuries, and the person who came closest to discovering it was MC's ex-husband.

MC is extremely reluctant to add him to the team. After their daughter's death, he nearly went insane in his quest for vengeance against the shogun. In fear that he would get himself killed, MC wiped his memory, and sent him away to start a new life. Now re-married with new children, MC insists on leaving him out of this life.

Determined find a different way, she sets off with her sister and apprentice to find a coven of witches that might know something. Only after a short fight is MC able to communicate her desire for help. The witches ask for a favor in return for their aid. After completion of her mission, she learns the witches don't where Shiryu is imprisoned but they give her a clue to the 'key' that will free the dragon as well as offer their when she battles the shogun.

No where closer to the location of Shiryu and out of other options, MC sets out for the key. For information on the key's location and specifics on how to obtain it, MC asks for an exiled ninja (now an independent underground information broker/thief) for her assistance.
