My script!

This is a script for a film called Knowledge V: The Finale. But, the issue is, nobody knows what the first 4 were about!

-Knowledge
Follows the story of Michael (DHMIS 3 lol), a boy whose family was killed by his father while he was on some sort of drug. The only ones left alive are his cousin Arianna, his mother and his sister, Emily. That’s it. Literally it.

-Knowledge II: From Hero to Zero
The story kinda starts here as Knowledge was sorta the prelude explaining who Michael was. Anyways, it follows Michael, Arianna and Emily as they move into a new house and are exploring the basement. They find weird oddities such as decapitated heads and a room filled with poison gas, but they’re okay with it, I guess? Anyways, they explore everything and are heading up when suddenly Michael faints. Michael has been possessed by a ghost (that came from nowhere), and Arianna and Emily must stop him. Emily runs away and Arianna saves him, and everything’s fine. Until he comes back after the credits and faints again.

-Knowledge III: The Possession Curse
This film follows the events of number II, showing what happened after Michael fainted at the end of the last movie. He goes to Arianna after doing some science-y-things and says he’s found The Possession Curse, a jar of fluid that can kill you because yes it can. Michael has found out that his father from part I was the one responsible for this and finds a way to ‘harness the power’ into a device that can remove the Curse from you or put it in you. Michael makes it take the Curse out of him until around halfway there when Emily runs from the situation, and same with Arianna. Michael goes back upstairs and he spots his father. They fight and Michael loses.

-Knowledge IV: The Three Shards of Blue
This one is really bad. So we follow Michael after part III (who is fine for some reason) reaching out to Arianna about these things he saw when he was a kid literally like a day before part II. He says they could be dangerous and investigates until Emily shows up with a doll. Michael finds out the doll is the current host of the ghost from earlier, and is possessing Arianna and Emily. Michael defeats them and destroys the doll, the end, right?

-Knowledge V: Parts 1-4
So pretty much it’s been a year, and everything has been normal, until Michael faints again and becomes the ghost. He travels out to some random place and meets up with Arianna and Emily, saying that the Possession Curse and the ghost in the doll have merged inside of him to create the Ultimate Ghost. He builds this thing that he goes in that removes about half of the ghost from him. They do it again and he now has half of that. They test out the strength of the ghost to test whether they can defeat it and it’s proven they can. Then, on Michael’s birthday, Arianna comes and he reveals he’s made literal proton packs. Like, the ones from Ghostbusters. But the ghost takes over and he attacks Arianna. We cut to later, where Arianna is with her friend. They talk until they see Michael show up, possessed. They explain the story again and then they shoot Michael with the ‘proton pack’. He doesn’t react, so they bring him to a kid named Georgie. This Georgie says he has an antidote to everything, but he doesn’t. They leave, and then this script happens.

Int. EMILY’S ROOM

ARIANNA: He isn’t fine, is he?

EMILY: Don’t worry, he knows what he’s doing.

A gunshot is heard and Arianna bolts.

EMILY: Wait!


Int. GARAGE

Arianna runs towards the door at max speed while Emily trails behind. Arianna gets to the door and opens it.


EXT. BACKYARD

Arianna runs out to see Michael laying in the grass, covering his chest.

ARIANNA: NO!

Michael looks at her and gives her the pistol.

MICHAEL (unstable-y): Finish..it…

ARIANNA: EMILY! CALL 9-1-1! (to Michael) It’s fine, it’s going to be fine.

Michael unnaturally gets up from his spot with zero effort, just standing up. He licks the blood off his fingers.

MICHAEL: He thought he’d kill me, didn’t he?

Arianna looks in horror as she realizes what has happened.

MICHAEL: But I’d think he didn’t. He was trying to take his own life to spare you two.

ARIANNA: What do you want?

Emily runs back.

EMILY: All phone lines are down…oh sh-

MICHAEL: WHAT? You think you can hide? I’m here forever.

Cut to Arianna with the pistol as she points it at Michael’s back.

MICHAEL: We tested together, I was you, we fought, but in the end that doesn’t matter, we can be family.

Michael lays his arm around Emily’s neck. She knocks it away and pulls out the sword from Knowledge II.

MICHAEL: You can’t be serious. That did nothing before, why would it work now?

ARIANNA (v.o.): You want to know why?

Michael turns to Arianna. The pistol is pointed at Michael.

ARIANNA: Here’s why.

Arianna pulls the trigger. Michael is shot backwards, but isn’t dead or even bleeding.

MICHAEL: You…you thought that would work.

Arianna looks confused.

MICHAEL: Do you know the truth?

Arianna shakes her head.

MICHAEL: Well your cousin Emily over here does! I’m sure she’d be happy to tell her family anything! (very close to Emily now, with intensity) Wouldn’t she.

EMILY: Michael, don’t…

MICHAEL: You want the full version? Here we go. We were both toddlers, and it’s Thanksgiving. You know we love that holiday, don’t we? No, we don’t because our father tried to kill us that night. You see, he was on a drug called Genozerin, or better known as ‘The Crazy Serum’ to people of lesser IQ. This drug changed his mind until the antidote is given. It made him go insane, making him kill everyone in the room, leaving only our mother, us, and you alive.

ARIANNA: Emily? Is this what actually happened?

Emily nods.

MICHAEL: So years later we’re together in our new basement and I’m possessed by a ghost? Right? So I go insane, try to kill you guys, but you managed to snap me out of it, correct?

ARIANNA: Yeah, I did.

MICHAEL: So we formed every possible way to destroy this curse until I found my father after all these years, only to lose to him again. Did you know that, Emily?

EMILY: Our father was irrational and on drugs, you know that, right?

MICHAEL: He wasn’t, because some random “Georgie Alfine” guy comes and helps our father and now he’s living with Georgie.

EMILY: I didn’t know that…

MICHAEL: You two were possessed but the ghost left your bodies only for me to destroy it, but that wasn’t the case.

Michael’s expression, stature and voice change as he starts to sob.

MICHAEL: I let him GO! Why did I? I cursed us all, I deserve to die, just kill me while you still can…

Michael switches back to previous Michael.

MICHAEL: I once again was the ‘host of the ghost’ and now it was different because I was going on killing sprees.

ARIANNA: Stop, Michael, this isn’t you.

Michael’s posture changes once more as a tear runs down his cheek.

MICHAEL: I…I know it’s not, but if you’ll (posture once again changes and his voice becomes much more threatening) JUST LISTEN, MAYBE YOU’LL UNDERSTAND!

Arianna screams and Emily slices Michael’s back. He seems to have felt nothing. Michael turns around and grabs the blade, pinning Emily against the wall.

MICHAEL: I was the victim, and you two did nothing to help! I was the sacrifice, oh no, there’s poor Michael, just another regular kid possessed by a ghost!

Michael throws Emily to the ground and pins her with the blade.

MICHAEL: WHY SHOULD I BE THE ONE TO LOOK OUT FOR?

Emily grabs the sword and pushes Michael away.

EMILY: Michael, push through-

MICHAEL: I did everything to help myself, while you just watched me. I was like entertainment to you two. Do you know what I sacrificed to get here?

(Starting the rewrite from memory)

EMILY: Michael, stop.

Michael slowly turns towards Emily and glares at her with intensity.

MICHAEL: Genozerin only amplifies what’s already there, Emily. It just made him go mental along with it.

Emily lowers the sword. Arianna gets up and walks behind Michael.

MICHAEL: He was going to kill us anyway! We were bait on a hook and Dad wanted to kill us, so he covered it up with Genozerin. It explains why he was responsible for putting the ghost in me, it was always him.

Arianna walks into garage slowly. She opens a cupboard to find the other sword from Knowledge II.

MICHAEL: I am always the victim of everything, I am the one who gets no light, the Sun avoids me wherever I go, I am the God of the night, I am-

Arianna cuts Michael open but his wound regenerates.

MICHAEL (cry laughing): You-you thought that would work!

Michael bursts into laughter and then stops as he throws Arianna away with his mind.

EMILY: ARIANNA!

Arianna hits the wall, leaving a large person-sized dent.

MICHAEL: I’ll hurt you too if you resist.

Michael then extends out his arm and the camera focuses on his hands as he summons a portal. He walks in. The portal closes but not before Emily jumps in. The two spiral in the portal as they wrestle with each other until Michael snaps. They shoot out of the portal to see two people oddly reminiscent of Michael and Arianna. Emily runs toward them.

PERSON REMINISCENT OF ARIANNA: Jess!?

EMILY: What?

PERSON REMINISCENT OF MICHAEL: We thought you died!

The two hug Emily but she backs away.

EMILY: Who are you?

MICHAEL: Do you know about Nexus Points?

EMILY: They’re fictional universes that exist simultaneously. There are trillions and trillions out there but there is a constant; us. You, me, Arianna, we’re all in every universe.

EMILY: This isn’t…(turns to person reminiscent of Arianna)…Arianna…

PERSON REMINISCENT OF ARIANNA: So, Infinity, what you’re saying is that we’re Nexus Points and you’re linking other universes to ours?

MICHAEL: What?

PERSON REMINISCENT OF MICHAEL: He’s not Infinity. I know he’s not, Infinity would be trying to gut me like a fish.

PERSON REMINISCENT OF ARIANNA (to Emily): Well then, let me introduce myself. My name is Celia, I’m this universe’s…(pauses for Emily to say Arianna’s name)…

Emily looks in confusion for a couple seconds. Emily then figures it out.

EMILY: Oh! Arianna.

CELIA: Right, Arianna. I’m the Arianna of this universe.

EMILY: Well, Celia, nice to meet you. And you over there?

PERSON REMINISCENT OF MICHAEL: I’m Keaton.

EMILY: Well, I’m Emily. It’s nice to meet you guys.

KEATON & CELIA: You too!

Emily begins to walk towards Michael but pauses. Emily turns back to Keaton and Celia.

EMILY: You wouldn’t mind helping me, would you?

CELIA: No, we’ve got nothing to do around here. We just sit and watch Cake Wars to remind us of Jess.

EMILY: Is that your universe’s me?

KEATON: Yeah.

CELIA: You need help fighting him?

EMILY: Yep.

KEATON: I have some experience with fighting myself, so bring it on.

Keaton pulls out his wand and shoots Michael in the arm.

MICHAEL: Ow, that stings!

Michael throws Keaton through a portal into another universe. Now it’s Emily and Celia. The two use their fighting skills, Emily with her double-edged sword from Knowledge II and Celia with her wand. Michael blasts them away while they do so, but they evade the attacks. Eventually Michael opens a portal below him and falls back into the time vortex-thingy. Emily and Celia follow, but are dropped in another dimension with Michael. They fight in the hallway of this new house as the camera zooms in on a chest in the corner. Loud banging can be heard coming from it as we hear a voice.

VOICE REMINISCENT OF EMILY: Are you guys out there? Shoot the lock!

The camera comes back to Emily, Celia and Michael as he opens a portal again. They fall into another universe, this time in someone’s backyard. A person reminiscent of Arianna runs over with croquet equipment.

PERSON REMINISCING ARIANNA WITH CROQUET EQUIPMENT: Um, I have a terrible feeling I’m about to wake up to this happening.

Michael opens another portal leading into a universe with the three in a dark room with lightsabers. Michael passes through, opening another portal, and another, and another until they stop in a universe where Keaton reappears. He shoots Michael with his wand, triggering the portal back to the Wizard War universe to open. Emily, Keaton and Celia run back in with Michael and he drops them in the Wizard War universe. Michael opens a portal and Emily runs in with him. The portal closes before Celia or Keaton can follow them. Michael drops Emily off in the Knowledge universe again. Emily pins Michael to the ground with the sword.

EMILY: We’re not going anywhere. I have just a couple questions for you. One, who are you? Two, what have you done with Michael? And three, how the hell can you summon portals from thin air?

MICHAEL: I am Michael, and not from a different universe. The ghost entering Michael caused him to lose his mind driving him into three people: the ghost, Michael, and me.

EMILY: You’re losing me, you are Michael?

MICHAEL: His second mind, merged with the ghost.

EMILY: Why are you trying to kill us?

MICHAEL: Because I don’t matter! You are responsible for taking everything from me! You made us take so long while exploring the basement that it gave father a chance to inject me with the Possession Curse!

EMILY: It was your idea to go down there!

MICHAEL: It was our new house! What was I supposed to do?

EMILY: You were injected because you decided to go down there! THIS IS YOUR FAULT!

Michael’s posture and expression changes again. He starts to uncontrollably sob and then screams. The scream echoes in a distorted way as his inner self tries to escape. He leans down in a crying position and gets back up.

MICHAEL: I’m sorry.

EMILY: Michael?

MICHAEL: I’m so, so sorry.

Emily runs to hug him but his posture changes again. His expression becomes malevolent and he takes Emily’s double-bladed knife. He stabs Emily with it and she gasps.

MICHAEL: How does it feel? HOW DOES IT FEEL!

Emily drops to her knees.

MICHAEL: Instead of trying to find a way to stop me, you tried to KILL ME! With that very blade you tried to destroy what was left of me. I was a pawn and you were the heroes, claiming to be my savior. You LEFT ME TO DIE! So that’s what I’ll do to you, you know how it feels. Not to mention me and Arianna over here needed to find a way to save me but NO, you rejected helping me. You literally walked away from everything, just to live a normal life. YOU ABANDONED YOUR FAMILY, JUST BECAUSE YOU COULDN’T HELP.

EMILY (gasping for air): I…couldn’t…

MICHAEL: COULDN’T WHAT!?

Michael kicks Emily to the floor.

EMILY: …I…was…lost…

MICHAEL: You think you were lost? I WAS NEARLY KILLED BY YOU AND ARIANNA ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS!

EMILY: Michael…I was…too afraid…of death…and…I’m sorry…

MICHAEL: YOU’D BETTER BE! Because of you, I lived a life of fear, you turned away from me as I faced father. We could’ve done it together, we had each other’s backs, but NO. NO, NO, NO, NO NO NO NO NO NO!!! Everything you’ve done shut me down. You’ve always been looking to ruin my life, to leave a dent in your sibling, who looked up to you. You know that, right? I wanted to be like you, but you always shut me off. In my greatest moment of struggle, why would I expect anything different?

EMILY: I’m…dying…

MICHAEL: GOOD. That’s all I want. Even Arianna turned away from me, and she was always there. You weren’t even there for my birthday. You know, the one where me and Arianna needed saving? The one where I was possessed and tried to kill Arianna. We depended on you to help, but no. We were just dust in the wind, more puddles to jump in in your endless rampage of suffering. You did nothing to help. You were never helping, just a rampant destroyer of spirits. So it’s time I made you feel the pain.

EMILY: Help…me…

MICHAEL: Fine.

Michael kicks Emily through the window of the house and jumps in, following her. He grabs Emily by the neck and squeezes. Michael proceeds to walk as intense orchestral music (composed by me) plays. Michael throws Emily to the bottom of the stairs and punches her. Her nose starts to bleed but then Michael’s arm is stopped. Arianna is holding his elbow back.

MICHAEL (with immense hatred): You.

Arianna and Michael begin to fight in the epic final battle, using every previous weapon from the Knowledge films, such as the “proton pack” from 5, the light source from 3, and all the weapons from 2. Arianna begins to wear him down. Cut to Michael walking intensely as he forces Arianna into the back of the dark basement. The camera pans to Arianna defending herself as she closes her eyes, preparing for impact. She opens them as nothing happens. The camera pans back to where Michael was. There is nothing. The camera cuts back to Arianna as Michael’s hand reaches from the darkness behind her. Horror movie-ish strings play as his hand reaches out. Michael lays his hand on Arianna’s shoulder.

MICHAEL: Hello.

Arianna screams and the camera cuts to Emily limping towards the back of the basement. Arianna slides the gun from earlier to Emily and she shoots it. It hits Michael but no damage is done. Michael slowly turns around, revealing his face. The score starts playing a mix of orchestral brass and distorted synth as he walks slowly towards Emily, who is still shooting. Arianna pulls out the transfer from 3 and the camera cuts back to Emily shooting. The two move into the middle of the basement.

MICHAEL: You’re dead. I always hated you.

ARIANNA: Well hold on to the hatred my friend.

Michael turns to see Arianna. In slow motion (referencing 2) Arianna runs at Michael with the transfer and injects him with the fluid.

ARIANNA: Fuck you, ghost.

Michael’s face changes as the ghost inside of him dissolves. He hugs Arianna. Emily then collapses from blood loss. Michael runs over to help but it is too late. Everything goes silent as Arianna calls 9-1-1 and Michael screams in pain. Fade to black and the words ‘one year later’ appears.


Int. Basement

We see Michael, Arianna and Emily on the couch.

MICHAEL: Before you ask, I’m not cleaning off this thing.

EMILY: You don’t have to this time.

Emily jumps up.

EMILY: Alright, move over.

Michael and Arianna stand up as Emily starts cleaning.

MICHAEL: No, Emily, it’s fine, I’ll do it-

EMILY (cutting him off): Ba-ba-bup! I’m helping.

MICHAEL: Oh! That’s sweet.

ARIANNA: What are you talking about?

MICHAEL: Nothing.

ARIANNA: Mom says we’re moving to a new house.

EMILY: Good.

ARIANNA: I was wondering whether you two would like to explore the basement there?

Emily and Michael pause completely. A beat.

MICHAEL: What is down there? Let’s go check.

Emily and Arianna laugh and they walk upstairs, mirroring the opening shot of 2.
