My Favorite Episodes of “The Walking Dead”
The Walking Dead... Even though it can be ridiculous at times and the pace can slow down too much, it's still a special show for me and for us. Maybe it's not a masterpiece, maybe its ratings aren't that high. But it's most of our favorite show. Especially because of its characters. Rick and his group were living in the series, but we were experiencing all the events with them. We laughed, cried, were surprised, and most importantly, we understood the meaning of family.
When Rick was sad, I was sad. When Daryl laughed, I laughed. When Carl was angry, I was angry. I learned from Hershel that we must always hold on to hope. That's why it's impossible to describe this series in words. It's a series that everyone should experience, at least the first six seasons. I stopped watching the show after the ninth season ended, but I still love it. Don't get angry because the show went off the rails—at least we have the first six seasons.

- DirecciónErnest R. DickersonElencoAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunRick and the group face imminent danger as The Governor tries to take the prison. This episode is very special to me. There had been a long period of silence. We all thought that the Governor had truly changed, but he returned worse than ever and destroyed everything along with himself. With this episode, The Prison, my favorite place, turned into a battlefield and was destroyed. Many people died, but for what? The Governor's death was very satisfying. And Hershel… his death was the end of humanity for me. After he is gone, everyone changed. Especially Rick.
9.8/10 - DirecciónGreg NicoteroElencoAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunDaryl, Abraham and Sasha face-off against the Saviors. Back at Alexandria, Rick and his group make their way through the herd.At the beginning of the episode, we learn just how dangerous Negan is and that he is coming, but this threat is not very prominent in this episode. That's because our focus is on Alexandria. It was a very violent episode. We saw a family tragically wiped out. Rick and Michonne became a family in this episode. Carl's iconic scene. When Glenn returns, he saves Maggie but immediately puts his life in danger and is rescued by Daryl and Abraham… 9.7/10
- DirecciónGreg NicoteroElencoAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunCarol takes drastic action to rescue Rick and the group from the cannibals of Terminus as she and Tyreese reach the compound. A familiar face makes a return. This may be the best season premiere episode in history. The previous season ended on a cliffhanger. And this episode started off just as incredibly. It was an action-packed episode. I don't like TWD's action-packed episodes—especially Season 8—because they were like cheaply made action movies, but this episode was different. It’s impossible not to be impressed by Carol and Rick in this episode. 9.6/10
- DirecciónGuy FerlandElencoAndrew LincolnSarah Wayne CalliesLaurie HoldenLori goes into labor when the prison comes under attack. Michonne tries to convince Andrea to leave Woodbury. This episode upset me so much. I wasn't expecting anything like this. It all happened so suddenly. Both the group and we learned the hard way what a small mistake, a small act of cruelty, can lead to. But if this hadn't happened, Rick wouldn't have been able to survive in this cruel world, so I think it was necessary, but still, this episode is very sad. 9.5/10
- 2010–202243mTV-14Episodio de TV9.3 (23 k)DirecciónMichelle MacLarenElencoAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesGlenn tells the rest of the group about the walkers in the barn, dividing them on what to do. Meanwhile, Hershel sets a deadline for the group to leave, unless Rick does a difficult task.A slow-burn that explodes with truth. The barn reveal changes everything. A haunting reminder that in this world, hope can be as dangerous as the undead. The conflict between Rick and Shane has now officially begun. After this episode, Rick starts to become ruthless, and he had to do that anyway. 9.4/10
- DirecciónGuy FerlandElencoAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesShane's antagonistic behaviour reaches new heights, while Carl suffers the consequences of his actions.Shane's antagonistic behavior reaches its peak in this episode. That final confrontation is one of my favorite and, in my opinion, most meaningful moments. Who knows what would have happened if Rick hadn't stabbed Shane? But the scenario where the two of them continue to stay together would probably have caused things to go wrong very early on. This showdown scene is the climax of Season 2 and the end of the series' best dynamic. 9.4/10
- DirecciónErnest R. DickersonElencoAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesAs the farm is overrun by walkers, the group fights to escape.A finale that feels like a warzone. As the farm burns, the group fractures and reforms. Rick’s leadership takes a darker turn — “This isn’t a democracy anymore.”
The farm was the last stop for humanity for me. But with this episode, we all lost it. 9.4/10 - DirecciónFrank DarabontElencoAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesDeputy Sheriff Rick Grimes awakens from a coma, and searches for his family in a world ravaged by the undead.I think it's very difficult to introduce a universe we don't know and a series we don't know. But TWD did this very skillfully and was successful. It's a bit nostalgic, but more than that, it's a beloved episode because it's so well written. There was almost no hope for Rick in that state. But Morgan prepared him for this world, and Glenn saved him for the first time. 9.3/10
- DirecciónGreg NicoteroElencoAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusLauren CohanRick is forced to face the past as he struggles to maintain the safety of the communities and protect the future he and Carl envisioned. This ending was satisfying for me. The dialogues in the dream sequences were very impressive. But I think there could have been things that could have carried this episode better. For some reason, everything developed so quickly that it felt a little forced to me. But, Rick’s farewell is mythic and poetic. A tribute to his entire journey, filled with echoes, sacrifice, and legacy. 9.3/10
- 2010–202246mTV-MAEpisodio de TV9.2 (48 k)DirecciónGreg NicoteroElencoAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunHaving been brutally overpowered by Negan and his Saviors, Rick and the group kneel helplessly as they suffer heavy losses that will haunt them forever. The climax of the tragedy. This episode is a sore spot for many of us. The sudden disappearance of our two favorite characters... There's nothing to say. They suffered, and we suffered watching them suffer. Rick, meanwhile, faced his greatest test. The future of this episode, however, is revealed in Season 1, which is the most masterful foreshadowing in TWD. Painful, divisive, unforgettable. Negan’s arrival reshapes the series forever. You may only watch it once, but you’ll never forget it. 9.3/10
- DirecciónMichelle MacLarenElencoAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunRick, Carl and Michonne cross paths with the Claimers once again on the way to Terminus, as the so-called sanctuary begins to reveal its true face. The birth of brutal Rick. It was such an intense season finale that I felt almost every emotion. That throat-biting scene was very memorable and iconic. A final scene so intense, it redefines the tone of the series. “They’re screwing with the wrong people.” 9.2/10
- DirecciónLaura BelseyElencoNorman ReedusDanai GuriraMelissa McBrideThe four communities come together in celebration at the Kingdom's fair, but while some pacts are renewed, others come at a much steeper price.Beautiful and horrifying. The fair feels like peace — until it all collapses. One of the most emotionally devastating moments in TWD. The best of the last episodes I watched 9.2/10
- DirecciónJeffrey F. JanuaryElencoAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunWith Bob's life hanging in the balance, the group prepares to fight back against Gareth and his group of cannibals. In this episode, we see how ruthless Rick has become and how intelligent he really is. But we also witness how loyal and devoted he is to his group. The verbal confrontation with Abraham and the potential physical fight that is stopped by Glenn. Gareth's end. "I already made you a promise." 9.1/10
- DirecciónJennifer LynchElencoAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunWhile Rick and his group lure the herd away, Carol and Morgan lead a line of defense against the Wolves when Alexandria comes under attack.Pure chaos with masterful direction. Carol steals the show as Alexandria’s illusion of safety is shattered. Just Survive Somehow. 9.1/10
- 2010–202243mTV-14Episodio de TV8.5 (16 k)DirecciónGreg NicoteroElencoAndrew LincolnJon BernthalSarah Wayne CalliesDale fears the group is losing its humanity as Rick and the others vote to execute Randall. You may wonder what this episode has to do with anything. But don't worry about it. Dale was a character I liked. You could label him as an ordinary, moral old man, but even in the most difficult situations, he tried to defend the group's conscience. And his end was actually Carl's fault. This incident also shaped Carl's personality. So, for me, it's not a episode to be underestimate. A quiet episode with loud consequences. Dale’s morality is extinguished, and so is the group’s last voice of compassion. 9.0/10
