[on his production of 'Hamlet'] I've taken out a lot of the poetry, and a lot of the dialogue has been cut. A lot of what's left is the narrative of the piece. Basically I get rid of all the
politics of the state. I deal with just the politics of the family, so it turns into a true family drama. Now we we just have seven or eight characters who are duking it out.
