Francine York(1936-2017)

Was a baton-twirling majorette for her high school band and active in the 4-H club, where she won several blue ribbons for cooking in both county and state fairs.

I was very fortunate in that I had a good background; my parents were good solid people who loved me. Yes, I left home when I was 18 but, nevertheless, my mother taught me the right things to do. Sure, you get off the beam every now and then, but sometimes you have to gain that experience to know what not to do.
