She has appeared in four films directed by Martin Scorsese: La última tentación de Cristo (1988), Historias de Nueva York (1989), Buenos muchachos (1990) and Cabo de miedo (1991).

She can be seen playing the role of Aerosmith's band manager in the hologram video used on the "Rock n Roller Coaster" ride in the Hollywood Studios theme park at Disney World in Orlando.

Illeana won Best Actress "The Green" at the 2011 Williamsburg Independent Film Festival.
