- Played the policeman Raoul in Nelson Eddy - Claude Rains version of El fantasma de la ópera (1943), but better known for his suave villainy in fantasy costumers, often starring Jon Hall. He had one Shakespearean role on film - Banquo in the Orson Welles "Macbeth". His portrayal is often cited as the best of the supporting performances in that film.
