Early on, while trying to keep food on the table and a roof over his head in NYC, John-Paul was in an infomercial for a brand of make-up wipes, a fashion video for Wal-Mart, a commercial for TIme Warner Cable, posed for a romance novel cover, did a print ad for Timex watches, had a small print job for Cosmopolitan magazine, and did a print ad for Philips light bulbs. He also helped out a Japanese suit maker once by being their "fit model."
