Studied at the New York Film Academy College of Film, Media and Performing Arts (NYFA).

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo starred in the film adaptation of Pedro Páramo, the novel by Juan Rulfo who is the second cousin of Manuel's father, Garcia Rulfo.

As storytellers, we have to speak up and put it out there. Sometimes it hurts. Why would they put this in. We have to. We have to speak up and say this is wrong.

[on acting and directing] That's not for everyone. You really need a gift, and a lot of knowledge. I would love to direct someday, but to star in it at the same time... you need to possess a thousand minds.
