Yasir Alyasiri

Yasir AlYasiri is a distinguished director, producer, and writer, celebrated for his impactful contributions to the Arab entertainment industry. Initially gaining fame as a music video director with ten awards to his name, Yasir made a striking film debut with "Murk Light" (2012), which not only screened at over 30 film festivals worldwide but also marked the first Emirati-made film to be showcased at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. His first feature film, "Shabab Sheyab" (2018), received widespread acclaim, premiering at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and subsequently featured in numerous prestigious film festivals globally. Following this, his second film, "122" (2019), broke new ground as the first Egyptian film to be released in 4DX format, achieving blockbuster status at the Egyptian box office.

Building on his impressive legacy, Yasir AlYasiri took on the role of showrunner for the first Starzplay original series, "Kaboos" (2023), showcasing his versatility and leadership in content creation. Furthermore, Yasir is directing, producing, and co-writing "HWJN" (2024), the most anticipated movie in the region.
