Jasmine Wattar is a Syrian American actor, writer, and producer from a small farming town in rural California. As a comedy writer, Jasmine was selected for the 25' Warner Bros. Discovery Access Writers Program. Her comedic writing has garnered three consecutive 'Best Film' awards from the HA 48 Hr Film Challenge, she's studied comedy writing under the mentorship of Ben Falcone (Thunder Force, Tammy, The Boss), and co-wrote and produced films like The Things That Haunt Us (Amazon Prime).
A passionate advocate for diversity/disability representation, Jasmine has received the SNL Award, the NBCUniversal Writing Scholarship at The Groundlings, and was an Inevitable Foundation Elevate Collective Fellowship finalist. As a mixed-race woman living with Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease, her work explores resilience - reflecting the messiness, strangeness of truth, and hope that lives in each of us as we navigate life and its obstacles.
