Rex Bressler was born in the heart of Silicon Valley during the midst of the dot com bubble. Though he really wanted to be a professional soccer player, he always assumed that he'd follow in his father's footsteps and become some sort of computer programmer. However, as a junior in high school, he volunteered to assist a local, student-run theater company. While moving rocks and other set pieces for a production of The Wizard of Oz, he cultivated a fiery desire to take the stage himself. He was a lead in their next show, and then he took the stage as the comedic lead, Harry MacAfee, in his high school's production of Bye Bye Birdie.
Though he came from an environment where the career "artist" was always preceded by "starving", Rex was bit by the bug and there was no taking that back. He withdrew his college acceptance and began performing locally in the SF bay area - in theaters and short films. Then, he booked Artificial, moved to LA, and got his SAG card.
Since then, in addition to acting, he's taken up writing, producing, and directing. Whether in front of the camera, behind it, or on a stage, Rex is committed to telling joyous and hopeful stories that brighten a world that can so easily feel blighted by nihilistic drudgery.
