Cannes Film Festival’s Classics section, which was created in 2004 to showcase vintage films and masterpieces of the history of cinema in restored print, consists of 22 screenings, 5 shorts and 3 documentaries. The films selected for the 2017 edition focus mostly on the history of the festival.
