ACT OVA: Drifters of the DEAD

Highschool of the Dead is already one gorgeously sexy, heart-pounding anime masterfully animated by Madhouse using all their wit, renowned animation quality and dynamic camerawork that holds up in spades to this day. I am so grateful to have seen it in January 2015 the first time.

With this short-lived gem of a Zombie survival show they produced, I have to say while the entire 12-episode series is extremely re-watchable for all it's racing action, survival drama, mind-numbingly sexy girls and titillating romance with the handsome MC Takashi Kumoro, this final OVA by the studio "Drifters of the Dead" is without a doubt, the sexiest part of the show. Rather one of the sexiest of all time.

It is filled to the brim with erotic and romantic scenes that harbor the essence at the heart of this show which in 23 minutes while little on the action, gives us plentiful in ways of Takeshi and the girls' romance.

Prepare yourself for a sexy beach day in midst of this zombie apocalypse, that'll make you forget it's the end of the world, and leave you hanging for what is to be the greatest unfulfilled promise in anime. Prepare your hearts as well but enjoy this beautiful and sexy OVA the has laughs and boatloads of romance and intimacy in ways you could probably not imagine. This is the episode for Saeko & Takashi fans and more 💜 2:50am.

The High School of the Dead anime show is a pretty great combination of zombie horror and T&A/fanservice. This OVA dials the fanservice up even higher, whilst the zombie element is very reduced (due to the desert island location). There's nothing here that moves the show forward in any significant way - but if you want a mindless 20+ minutes of near-naked high school chicks rubbing themselves up against the hero (and each other!) it's worth a look. Sadly the closing promise of 'To be continued...' never happened (creator Daisuke Sato died in 2017). As horror this OVA is sorely lacking, but as unashamed fanservice it's an 8/10.
