after the funny but bland premier episode of this show I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it or not but gave it a second chance and I wound up glad I did I laughed and had a great time watching this everyone is pretty much likable here his 'boys' are hilarious and his moma is quote worthy and lovable and I adore lea Michele here she is beautiful and hilarious even Courtney himself is likable I recommend trying this one out if your looking for good family fun on Tuesday night
OK I have been watching this over the past few weeks now and though at first I didn't care for it I have completely changed my tune after last night its one of the funniest comedies this fall and it only seems to be going up from where it is now I cant wait to see more I adore this guys momma she is quotable hilarious and tells it like it is and as for lea Michele she is just as charming and beautiful as ever you got to love her latten flavor but I totally recommend this program to anyone a simply hilarious comedy
In the downtrodden community of Fort Grey, Cal, aspiring rapper Courtney Rose (Brandon Micheal Hall) runs for mayor to promote his music. T.K. Clifton (Marcel Spears) and Jermaine Leforge (Bernard David Jones) are his best friends and entourage. He lives with his postal worker mom Dina Rose (Yvette Nicole Brown). Former schoolmate Valentina Barella (Lea Michele) runs the opponent's campaign. With Courtney's shocking victory, Valentina volunteers to run his office. Corrupt councilman Ed Gunt (David Spade) is a political rival.
The cast is amiable and the characters are sweet enough. Often, Courtney learns a lesson and grows as a character. Spade provides a good sleazy villain. It probably could have done something if given more time. The network cancels it after making 13 episodes. I actually expected it to stretch out the campaigning for the first year. That has great potential and the season could have ended with his surprise victory. Instead, this quickly turns into a standard sitcom. I'm not sure about creator Jeremy Bronson's intentions but he definitely stumbled upon a more uplifting portrayal of small city politics. It's got the underdog aspect and the feel-good lesson of the week.

I actually liked the idea of the show and how it all started. It looks original and the comedy type is constructive and nice, maybe not Hilarious but still enjoyable and even fast in some scenes, i can see where the events are escalating to and that makes me a bit more hopeful that it'll go well maybe even for just a couple of more seasons if they kept this steadily rising rhythm. I've just read the ratings of this premiere and they looks pretty promising.
The plot is genuine and has so much potentials and could branch out to other significant sub-plots, talks about a struggling rapper who seeks popularity and apparently the "obvious" choice is why not run for Mayor, after not expecting to win he actually did and now it is his mission to keep his promises to the people to fix the town.
As for the casting, i loved that Yvette Nicole Brown is here,, watched her in Community and i loved her , i know she'll be amazing here even if the role is not extended. Brandon Micheal Hall is really funny and with his two other mates they are making a good relatable type of comedic friendship. also Lea Michele is good "personally i don't like her type of acting" i saw her in "Scream Queens" and she was "Meh" but here she could polish herself into something.
To conclude, it is not hilarious but is indeed enjoyable and i had that type of inside giggle on some scenes, so i think i'd watch where they're going next.
