Katherine Hughes and Medalion Rahimi (from Before I Fall, and who plays an agent on NCIS Los Angeles) are both beautiful and funny. As is Ryan Lee.
I think the scripts are good and the premise is unique, and everyone's timing is on point.
The show had me laughing out loud even though I'm not really their demographic. Some might think it a silly high school comedy, which it is, but I enjoyed it a lot.
Plus, although he is used sparingly, it has the talented Rickey Eugene Brown who I saw displaying his acting skills in Your Honor the day before, but here does comedy as Mason the jock.
I watched all 8 episodes over 2 days, and like most of the binge-able 22-minute comedy shows I try to watch, I did not regret doing so.
I still have 2 episodes of Cobra Kai I can't ever seem to find the time for.

I'll start off by saying the plot isn't anything revolutionary. But it was totally not what I was expecting, I was expecting a very cliché cheesy teen romance. And any cliché part was done in a way that it felt (for a lack of better words) not(...?) cliché. But the plot reeled me in and I couldn't stop! I think the acting was good, and I never hated the characters, like I normally do. The ending was very fulfilling, and all the plot lines got tied up, but sadly I don't think they are going to make a season 2. Normally this isn't my type of show, but I really really enjoyed My Dead Ex.
This show actually has a lot of heart and charm. The cast is small enough and the episodes are short enough to make it easy to track. Also the characters were likable and the dialogue is pretty smart. While there's a lot of cliche elements, the show sort of presents it in a satirical manner, which makes it work. I will admit there were some transitions that seemed a bit abrupt and some of the scenes are predictable, but overall it was enjoyable. I watched it all in one sitting and found myself chuckling every so often.
I need a little forgiveness when I admit that started to get a little crush on Ryan Lee (Ben). He is absolutely adorable and steals the show every time he is on screen. Unfortunately I docked a star for Katherine Hughes (Charley), her character falls flat and without Ryan Lee and Madalion Rahimi (Wren) to hold her up she would ruin the show. If you haven't fallen in love with Ben yet you will during his dance scene in Episode Six. What a cutie.
This show will make you laugh, cry and hope for another season. Great acting with touching scenes and a cast of great actors. I highly recommend.

- TriviaThe plot is very similar to the romantic-horror-zombie-comedy, My Boyfriend's Back (1993).
