This documentary is very well put together. Sickening facts, yes, but something that needs more air time in order to make people aware. The sad part is that, it's not that people are not aware, rather chose to distance themselves from the truth. After all, it's hard to understand how a normal and educated adult can do such immoral acts and justify it. More shockingly, be protected by the highest institution that cannot be more hypocritical, while the victims are barely staying afloat and waste their lives trying to figure it all out.

This 3-part series details the decades-long,far-reaching, repugnant and horrific sexual abuse of boys from member of the Catholic church in Spain. No spin necessary: it is difficult to watch - agonizingly so. Yet it could be a life-altering experience if you chose to. Most likely you will feel real & physical sadness, rage, anguish and repulsiveness that shall allow you to understand the depths of depravity humans can go. And as a co-conspirator you will see how the Catholic church was more interested in covering up their own shame and guilt rather than protecting the little lambs - children - that they, and everyone, should be protecting. It isn't for all, yet it's impact can affect all.

I'm a Mexican Catholic and studied with Jesuits since High School. In my personal experience pederasty was nowhere to be seen. Nevertheless decades later as an adult I became aware through comments by priests who had hung their robes to form normal families that there existed a powerful mafia of homosexuals inside the Church that placed a heavy lid both on the ongoing travesties as on the possibility of liberating marriage to the clergy.

Some years later the manure hit the fan worldwide.

Pity that this brave series didn't address the worse cases like those commited by orders like the Legionaries of Christ and also innumerable members of the secular credit. The series quest should have been carried much further.

How did the Vatican dare canonize a Pope who covered the atrocities commited by a high percentage of members of the Roman Church is something that evades my reason. The lukewarm and feeble attitude of the present Pope, Francis, is an ominous sign. How can the terrenal organization that claims to withhold the teachings of Christ can survive this, I cannot fathom.

I urge everyone holding through the anger this series is sure to provoke (whatever your religious affiliation or lack of it) and watch it whole. What is depicted here is only the tip of a huge iceberg.

It's a shame that the guilty haven't been processed through the penal systems of most countries.
