Leo Laporte displays his DJ career origins as a "rah-rah" personality in this Canadian resurrection of an older show. "Call for Help" requires that people with technology problems email their situation beforehand. I don't mean to denigrate Leo's knowledge or experience, but knowing in advance the questions that will be asked tends to make one look artificially smart.
Amber MacArthur (supposed web design expert) always looks like she's being told how to smile and when. She also has an annoying, nervous giggle (which can change instantly to a serious, focused facial expression).
This program is a promotional vehicle for Leo and his books and website(s).

Best tech show of all time. The originals they made it cool to be a geek. Without Leo and Cat there would be no Leonard and Penny. This show clearly had the formula down for entertaining as well as a ton of actually helpful tech tips that had you back up and running prior to the credits. Reboot PLEASE
Having watched both the US production from May 2003 until its cancellation in 2004, as well as the New Canadian produced version since its inception in August 2004 I think I am qualified to state that the new version is even better than the original.
Even though the shows are no longer "live" the Canadian production has had more in-depth coverage of topics that are of benefit to the more advanced user. Andy Walker, in particular, seems to favour covering topics that are a little "geekier" than the norm on the old show.
Amber McArthur's web workshop segments are also very interesting and informative, even though I do not have a web site her comments on designing and planning web sites are excellent.
The new MS Office experts are knowledgeable and give very good tips.
The show has recently re-introduced the segment by Alex Lindsay on Photoshop which promises to be excellent as well.
G4TechTV Canada seems to have made a genuine commitment to the program and it is getting better and better as they become more familiar with the technical requirements of producing a "How-to" kind of show.

- TriviaWas originally canceled by Comcast after merging TechTV with its own failing channel, G4. However, G4/TechTV Canada obtained the rights for the show and starting producing new episodes only a few months later.
