Nureta sainome

"Kayo" (Michiko Tsukasa) is a young woman with a huge problem. For starters, she has recently fallen in love with a man named "Ken" (Jiro Kokubu) who says that he loves her too. The problem is that Kayo is the mistress of a mob boss and Ken is a hired thug who works for the same man. So, to resolve the situation, after spending a night together one night, they both agree to run away the next day to a faraway destination where they can live their lives together. Unfortunately, when Ken fails to appear at the train station, Kayo feels betrayed and has to make the trip all alone--which also fills her with enormous sadness. The scene then shifts to 7 years later with Kayo operating a small bar in a remote coastal village in order to make ends meet. It's during this time that she accidentally bumps into a young man named "Jun" (Jinpachi Nezu) and his girlfriend "Yoko" (Misa Aoyama) and their situation brings back painful memories of the time she spent with Ken. It's also during this same time that Ken suddenly appears--and this causes problems for all concerned. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that I wasn't too impressed with this movie based in large part on the rather bad ending. It also had a couple of scenes involving the "wet dice" that I didn't particularly care for either. On a similar note, I should probably warn viewers that this film has quite a bit of nudity along with several scenes of a sexual nature--so parental discretion is strongly advised. Be that as it may, while fans of this type of Japanese sub-genre might find this film somewhat entertaining, I honestly didn't care for it and, considering the faults just mentioned, I cannot rate it higher than I have. Below average.
