some of the best dialogue ever

Having lived my entire life in Dublin, I may appear to be bias. However, I don't believe I am, but I do believe I 'get' this movie a lot more than a person from another land might. The dialogue, which is the movies strongest point, is not only hilarious, it's totally real. I just couldn't stop laughing at this film.It was so funny.I don't agree with the guy who says that it is the best Irish film ever made.

This film is like a trip. Complete with idiotic Irish slang. Pulp Fiction is said to have some of the best dialogue ever, but even it's biggest fan can't deny that the dialogue has a very staged feel. The film however, really does sound like two regular Dublin lads having a 10 minute argument. What a pleasant surprise! One of the earlier set of well-made Irish films with not a shamrock or a leprechaun in sight. The banter between is well-timed, realistic and naturally, hilarious. A film that somewhat reflects a 'real' Ireland that we can relate to(er, possibly without all the guns and violence). A film that shows what a talent we have here. It's hard to comment without giving too much away. Let's just say that this is a delightful, funny, but not shallow, film about the relationships we form in our lives out of necessity. Wonderful acting, sincere script, unique Irish humor.

    Highly recommended

I think that Poultry in Motion was an excellent short film. As I work in a cinema I often get feedback from the patrons. Most of them enjoyed it as much I did, although some of them were quite confused by it. The director John Corcoran certaintly has quite an unique talent and I'm sure he will go far. If you like independant filmaking that's richly inventive and fiercly entertaining and funny than this is for you. The film tells the story Poultry in Motion Is a comedy about three separate guys who walk into a corner-shop at different intervals during the day.and hilarious ways. The acting from Ronan Cassidy is also surprisingly good for a student short. Highly recommended!

Eric, played brilliantly by Ronan Cassidy he is funny, engaging entertainment!

Eric, played brilliantly by Ronan Cassidy. In this captivating and commercially styled short film, we are engaged totally by the struggle of power and control of the situation between the man, I was amazed that despite the film being so short at around eight minutes and also low budget, it has a quality to it born of several factors. The production value is high, the mood of the piece is dark and the camera work and editing slickly styled to make the most of every second.

I can't tell whether i'm being hard on this film or not...

...i mean, i enjoyed it thoroughly, and i would definitely recommend it as a wonderful way to spend an evening, but sometimes it seemed like it couldn't quite accomplish everything it wanted to (or tried to).

It's very funny, that's a cert. The performances are wonderful right across the board, and the dialogue's rarely less than excellent. Everyone plays their parts to perfection - it's a wonderful cast, and they're all on top form. It's the director's first feature, as far as i know, an he handles it competently enough, keeping things moving and flashing back and forth between the large cast with a good sense of timing and an instinct for piquing the viewer's interest.

The thing that bugs me is the one aspect of the film that i'd felt certain of before i watched it -- the writing. John Corcoran an excellent writer, but it seems in places that he sells a few characters short (especially when things get frantic towards the end). There were a few storythreads that i felt got a little short-changed in the rush to resolution. Having said that, there were tiny moments studded all through the film that back-handedly evoked genuine emotion. It was skillfully done, and in those small moments you knew you were watching the work of some very talented people, certainly not least of which was the writer. it's definitely a very, very good film, but i think if it had been allowed to end in a just ever-so-slightly messier way, it could have been a great one.

Anyway, i'm nitpicking. if you see it you'll enjoy it.

Oh, and i tried not to let this influence me too much, but I deeply, deeply fancy Ronan Cassidy, so as far as i'm concerned, he's a serious plus point for this flick. I wish he could have used his real accent in the film...
