Most of the acting in this film was just terrible. Paris Hilton is beyond horrid as an actress. She looks like shes stoned through out most of the film. She was just awful. I was not impressed one bit. It felt like she was reading her lines right out of the script, no emotion at all. I'd give her a 2/10. Jesse Woodrow would be a 6/10. He seems to have been the only character who was believable. He needs some more experience as an actor and he will probably do fine. I would give Rene Heger 5/10. He's character was some what believable, and he looked the part. As for the directing of the film, it seems they did the best with what they had to work with. I would not recommend this film to anyone, unless they want a good laugh at Parises acting.
this movie was terrible. the acting was terrible and so was the plot. it was about bunch of posers living the life in the suburbs and then starting a gang. In the movie the gang leader would just go around shooting everything in sight just because he felt like it. Paris Hilton was really hot in the movie, that was the only good thing. I kept watching it think you would see her naked or something but no dice. So I just downloaded a night in Paris which also sucked but at least you still saw her naked. To tell you the truth I never even finished the movie, i wanted to but I just couldn't do it. It was just so bad. I don't think the movie even deserved a star but I had to give them some credit for trying. All I can hope for is that the actors in this movie never act again.
I was SO bored on a Sunday afternoon. That is my only excuse for watching this horrid movie. I am not the type of person that would pick it up in Blockbuster, I swear. But it was on, and nothing else was so I watched The Hillz.
The acting was terrible, which was particularly sad considering the script seemed SO bad a 4th grader could have memorized it. However, one would hope a 4th grader would not *say* that much profanity. It is hard to give this waste of time even 1 star out of 10, but there is no zero option. I suppose the 1 is given for participation. Camera guy, you get a star for putting film in the camera! (Wish you hadn't, though.) Paris and other actors (using the term *loosely* here), way to go! You showed up for filming! *sigh*
I was bored on a Sunday afternoon. I watched the Hillz. Now I am *more* bored. I think I may watch one of my little brother's high school plays my dad recorded on the family camcorder. Better acting, filming, etc.

Any movie that's biggest draw is Paris Hilton is already in trouble. The Hillz, yet another new "teen drama," like that's even a genre, lowers the bar once again. Not quite sure what it wants to be, this mish mash of stolen ideas and unlikable characters has nothing new to show or to say. The advertising claims it is American Pie meets Pulp Fiction with a dash of A Clockwork Orange. Well, in a sense that is no lie: this film is a pale imitator that throws as many cliché's as it can at the wall to see what sticks.
The basic plot follows the adventures of Steve and his return from college to his old neighborhood. He's the popular jock who unfortunately finds that all is not peaceful in his wealthy high-school habitat. Most troubling is the fact that many of his best friends from high-school have now begun a blood-thirsty gang that terrorizes whoever they want and creates overall havoc. That's probably where the A Clockwork Orange elements come in. Sort of.
Then of course there's the love interest, Heather, played by Paris Hilton. The term "played" is to be used loosely: Paris Hilton doesn't actually act, she just plays herself with a different name. Considering the dipping standards of the Oscars nowadays, perhaps a nomination is in store for her. And, of course, there is the completely original love triangle between Steve, Heather, and her boyfriend Todd. This probably is the American Pie part of the film. Maybe.
And who knows where Pulp Fiction comes in; it probably just has to deal with the fact that this film has people committing crimes too! Oh, and there's sex appeal! And hot new stars! And violence! Yes, subtly takes a backseat to Paris Hilton. Supposedly the film has a message, one that is summed up best in its tagline of "the good life just went bad." Unfortunately, a mediocre film just got worse, and the true tragedy of The Hillz is that it actually thinks it's an important film. Perhaps it will provide an alternative watch one night for a few bored young teens who never got to download A Night in Paris. For everyone else, though, the film is just a warning to up and coming filmmakers: if you want to give your mediocre script some weight, don't hire a star best known for illegitimate porno.
Critics Conclusion: The advertising claims The Hillz is American Pie meets Pulp Fiction... with a dash of A Clockwork Orange. Those are all perfect alternative entertainment choices to sitting through a mediocre production of a stale idea that has nothing to say that hasn't been said a million times already.

WOW!!!
A bunch of untalented actors got together and shot the worst movie ever. i was only watching this because the whole 'white suburban rich kids starting a gang to be taken seriously' plot outline sounded funny to me but it was extremely boring. This was really bad. Really really bad.
Usually in movies you're supposed to care about characters but there aren't any in this movie who deserve it. The main character is stupid and you can tell he doesn't care about being in the movie at all not only by his awful acting but it seems like he can't even take his role seriously. His narration in it was so boring and poorly done that it just gets painful after awhile. Paris Hilton was disgusting and horrible in it. She actually gets slapped up by her boyfriend and that was probably the only enjoyable part in the entire movie. There are police officers in it who are wearing boy scout uniforms for some odd reason (one of them gets killed by one of the "thug ganstaz").
Everything about it was extremely amateur; camera work, script, direction, acting, and editing. A lot of scenes didn't make sense and were completely irrelevant to anything that was happening.
This was just painful to watch and don't waste your time. Don't pay to rent this disaster. It will just encourage them to make more movies which is not what we need. Someday this may have some novelty value and be so bad it's good, but for now it's just one of the worst films i have ever seen.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe shirt and blue bracelet that Jesse Woodrow's character wears through much of the movie is for the now broken up Los Angeles band, Deadsy. In the commentary, Woodrow and others involved in the movie state this was because they were freinds and/or fans of the band. Also Paris Hilton made some headlines around the early 2000's for at one point having a very brief relationship with the band's lead singer, Elijah Blue Allman (son of Cher and Gregg Allman).
