The Fascist of X-Mart

This is a truly delightful short comedy. The fantasy sequences really catch the viewers off-guard! The editing is seamless, and each time Justin's mind surprises us. The dialogue is great, and some lines will be often-quoted. Loofahs, for example, will never be the same. Looking forward to more great work from this creative and witty writer/director!

Great short. Some shorts are calling cards for features and are only made to illustrate that the director can actually deliver a bigger feature. But, this one is a true "movie" in and of itself and makes you actually excited to see the director do whatever he likes in a feature. You know you will be in good hands with this director and you know that you will never be bored! Completely original work (and that is rare) that seems headed for cult status at the very least.

What can I say about this film? You really just have to watch it to truly appreciate it. I laughed, I cried, I drank until I couldn't drink no more. All in all, it was a great experience. I feel sorry for those unfortunate people who have not yet experienced The Fascist of X-Mart. You poor, poor souls.

I hope that Mr. Blunk will continue to entertain the masses in the future. It's people like Chris and other indie film makers that give me hope that maybe Hollywood won't suck some day. Maybe not in my lifetime, but perhaps my children will benefit from their efforts.

Oh, and anyone who doesn't like this film is a communist. There, I said it!

Chris Blunk is truly a genius in the making. Every aspect of this production was done with meticulous care, a rare gift for talented filmmakers. The brilliant writing came through so well with the quality actors he managed to get. Jessica Kibbe provided such a delightful command of the screen, I'm sure we'll see much more from her soon! I know I sure can't wait to see more from Mr. Blunk!
