Asia Noir 3

The late David Aaron Clark, an adventurous pornographer who built up quite a rep during his career but is likely forgotten nowadays, put more effort into concocting an interesting musical score for #3 in his 6-part film series than in his script or direction. It consists of rather pointless sex scenes involving Black actors and Oriental actresses, hence the title.

Of course there is some kinkiness and BDSM, or this wouldn't be commercial. But apart from pretentious titles given to the vignettes I couldn't fathom any point to this porn filler, ending with the line "Life is but a dream", hardly an intellectual statement from the auteur.

Femme cast is not very attractive, with Charmane Star the most recognizable of the troupe. DVD includes a brief tribute short to Jade-Blue Eclipse, apparently a porn performance artist sympatico with Clark's vision but destined to remain obscure.
