Garry Marshall: [Family] As he often does in his movies, Garry Marshall cast many of his family members in small roles in this movie: Reed's co-worker Nikki, was played by Marshall's daughter Kathleen Marshall; Mr. Schwabbe was played by his son Scott Marshall; grandchildren Sam Marshall and Lily Marshall-Fricker played "Soccer Son" and Lily, respectively; wife Barbara Marshall played the nurse who told Julia where Harrison was eating dinner; and niece Tracy Reiner played a French photographer. Marshall also shot a scene with his sister, Penny Marshall, in it, but it didn't make the final cut.
