By 15 minutes into this series, I was shocked by the total waste of materials taken from these houses. Brand new tubs, cabinets, etc. were ripped out and taken to the dump! And wasted space! Leanne tore out a wall to make this gigantic bathroom....does a bathroom really have to be the size of a living room? And Mina apparently hasn't been watching the news, and doesn't know California is going through an horrific drought, so she puts in a shower with four jets, which the inspector told her to take them out, but she left them in anyway.(each uses 13 gallons a minute). There was the usual tough talk from them all, which gets a little old after a while. We'll keep watching (we really like Jasmine), but it's really just the same-old-same-old.
I used to watch Windy City Rehab. Never again. Alison takes obnoxious and arrogant to a whole new unwatchable level.
Could be a good show but Allison Victoria makes it practically unwatchable. She needs to stop telling us how she's going to win and just stfu and let her design do the talking. PS - no one cares about your $7000 toilet. Leanne Ford on the other hand - wacky and a little flakey but comes across as honest, genuine, and really likable. She has an idea of who her client is and she wants to please that client. Also, they should move this from Monday night to Tuesday night because every time Allison opens her mouth I immediately think "See you next Tuesday, Allison."
Initially I looked forward to seeing this show because I really like watching MIna, Leann and Jasmine. However, Allison Victoria makes watching (listening) to it nearly impossible. She is so full of herself. Every time she starts to talk I mute the sound.
I'm writing about the second season. Would been fair to see the actual final prizes that all the houses were sold for. Buying a house is driven largely on emotion and houses with a more narrow target audience can actually push the prize much higher because of the lack of options on the market for that audience. Would have been a fair finale that way. At the moment second season teaches us that design and function is overrated and you should buy a house marked down on a paper.
The cast and concept was great on second season. What was not so great was the ever so loud host and the editing made me feel like it was done under drugs. Basically the grew and the cast didn't match. Also what's up with people wearing same clothes for months. I hope it was because of editing reasons not because they think we as an audience can't recognize people in new clothes.
