It's a stretch to call some of these creatures, monsters. Though finding huge fish, could be called Monster catch, Lol! I wish they could find some "new" creatures to investigate. The episode on huge Catfish,Gar, & Pike needs more investigating. Sure, they caught some big Catfish in the Amazon River. Cambodian, & Vietnam's Catfish blow my mind! 600 lbs??!! There are also big Catfish here in the Missouri Ozarks. My Pop had been building the generators to the Truman Dam in Warsaw, Missouri. The dam was new in the late 70's, on the Osage River. The divers inspecting the dam would not dive anymore, when a one of them had been grabbed, & shoved under a rock shelf by a huge Catfish. Injured his shoulder. Pop had recounted this in detail thru the years. There are quite a few Catfish that weigh 100 + pounds & a foot between the eyes, in the waters of the Osage River,& the Lake of the Ozarks. We've had quite a few people pictured with their huge catches in the local papers. The Gar are huge also. We also hear of "Bigfoot" sightings in the Ozarks thru the years. The hill people call him "the Blue Man", or
" MoMo". There was stories of one that had been treed. The men thought it was some pitiful scared man up in the tree. They held a lamp up & discovered it had hair like a bear, but a face like man. We used to swim in Deer Creek. It was spring fed. Just as clear, & beautiful! My mother had found a giant footprint in the mud next to the waters edge one day. It was huge. She wouldn't go alone anymore! It's weird you know, when people have the feeling they are being watched. Had that feeling a few times. I've been alone at the creek enjoying the rustle of the cotton woods, & the trickling of the creek. I would swear I was being watched
You know, I have Never heard of a "Bigfoot" that has tried to harm a human. If they are real, I pray humans don't harm them. Food for thought,..We humans are the most dangerous creatures on the earth. Overall, I really enjoyed this program.
I caught an episode of this the other day, to be specific the Mothman episode. I don't normally watch this sort of thing, but I've always found the Mothman to be an interesting character and enjoyed the movie based around the myth, so I figured I'd give this a watch.
The show as a whole is overly dramatic, they pump things up to the point of ridiculousness. At one point there's a couple on the show who claim to be 'haunted' by the Mothman after visiting the area and recording some audio of him speaking, supposedly he followed them all the way home and during the documentary they return to the place of the recording to ask him why, and to make him stop. The recording is clearly the husband putting on a voice, words cannot describe how laughably bad it is. Furthermore, if the Mothman followed them home why couldn't they just speak to him there? Why travel hundreds of miles back to the original site? Pure attention seeking, I can't begin to imagine what must be lacking in a persons life to go to the lengths of this couple.
Of course there are other people interviewed, there's a lot of supposition and attempts to connect things, the team behind the show really go to great lengths to try and promote things that just aren't there.
I feel the show would have done better to take an approach from outside of the Myth, relate the facts and find more credible people to interview. Instead it over dramatizes everything and collects interviews from people who are clearly out of their minds or simply flat out scamming people for attention or financial gain.
If you watch as an unintentional comedy you might get some mileage out of the show, otherwise stay well clear.

With all the sightings & other cryptid lore, there's a plethora of material to make new shows for future seasons. The format is interesting & the cgi is really good! I dig the narrator too...
Have just watched the Wendigo episode and was rather disappointed that the "lore" they detailed was factually incorrect in parts. I'm not an expert by and stretch of the imagination but I do know some basics and some of the information put forward by the so called experts was bullsnot.
I like this show as a comedy, not an investigative documentary. How about having some intellectual experts once in a while discuss what they actually KNOW to be true. Video or photo evidence always fuzzy: is it a vampire dog or rabid coyote with mange? Who knows, but guessing the later. What qualifications do you need to be a cryptozoologist? Does Harvard have a curriculum?
