This movie is highly recommended. Despite the broad issues such as "what happened in Bahia and other states" and the action of the United Nations, the movie focuses on a more restricted universe such as a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, but this does not disqualify the work. The film is about the occupation of places by those who are denied a place. Highly recommended, don't waste time and watch it! Seu Jorge is magnificent and very funny. Note 9/10.

The idea is original but was very badly executed. Starting with a lousy screenplay - full of clichés and unnecessary lines - and a dreadful direction. What a waste!

Can we drop the whole "wokeness" accusations for a bit and really watch and pay attention about what the movie is really about?

That's not a premonition movie where the situation's bound to happen somewhere in the next years.

I feel like the film uses a way of showing the audience what it's like to be a minority living in a predominantly white country, but exaggerating the narrative so that everyone can understand.

The point is, we're all scared this situation is possible to happen at any time, depending on our government and population.

The only thing that made me sad was seeing the underacting of the actors, which were following the famous Theatre/strict to the script acting.

Alfred Enoch is such a good actor, and the only time we see him shine was at the end of the movie where he shows true emotions.

Besides the novel acting, I loved everything about the movie.

Cinematography, Script, Storytelling, Seu Jorge's performance were awesome.

The movie "Executive Order" brings the strength of racial prejudice against black people during a visibly ultra-right-wing government in Brazil. The plot deals with a very important and current theme of racial segregation and the danger of a false political ideology about immigration. The major issues with the movie start with a naive and weak script, then go through the amateurish direction and culminate with the poor editing, which has cuts similar to those ones in Latin soap operas. It is sad to realize that the strength of the plot gets lost when mixed with comic scenes and childish dialogues.

"Do we realize when history is happening?" As absurd as it is real, some dialogues hurt the soul, exuding racism in such a natural and hateful way, the irony, Provisional Measure 1.888, the reparation would not be to return the whites to Europe, in exchange for the return of our gold, remembering that there is no pedigree among the so-called whites... There are so many layers, but if you analyze the speeches, however absurd they may be, they are exactly the same as those of the extreme right, politicians, lovers of dictatorship and fascism, comedians, in short, cattle... A courageous, wonderful, controversial, captivating film....

In a dystopian future, an authoritarian Brazilian government orders all black citizens to move to the African continent as a way to make amends for the times of slavery, creating chaos, protests and a resistance movement in almost the entire nation.
